Alteración del estado emocional en madres de recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales

Abstract

Los estados transitorios de alteración emocional generalmente son situaciones percibidas por los individuos como amenazantes o de peligro, frente a esta situación difícil, las madres de familia, enfrentan diversas circunstancias con estrategias de afrontamiento que se adaptan a sus necesidades. El estudio tiene como objetivo describir las alteraciones del estado emocional de las madres con recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales. Material y Método: Revisión descriptiva narrativa, que proporciona al lector estudios relevantes sobre alteraciones del estado emocional en madres con recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales; y cuyo acontecimiento genera la presencia de estrés, depresión, angustia o ansiedad. Se analizaron 20 artículos científicos obtenidos de las siguientes bases de datos: SCIELO 15%, PUBMED 5%, Dialnet 5%, Lilacs 5%, Redalyc 5%, Ciberindex 10%, Researchgate 5%, CDC –DGE 5%, DSPACE 5%, Springer 5%, Core.ac 5%, y otras fuentes 30%. Conclusión: Las alteraciones emocionales que se presentan con mayor frecuencia en las madres con recién nacidos hospitalizados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales; son el estrés, la depresión, la angustia y/o ansiedad que se presentan con las siguientes características: alto nivel de estrés, sentimientos de temor, e impotencia. Cabe señalar que dentro de los factores más recurrentes: la alteración del rol madre – hijo; debido a la separación física y emocional, asimismo la apariencia débil del recién nacido lo que provoca en la madre, incertidumbre, dolor y frustración.

Material and Method: Narrative descriptive review, which provides the reader with relevant studies on alterations of the emotional state in mothers with newborns hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; and whose event generates the presence of stress, depression, anguish or anxiety. 20 scientific articles obtained from the following databases were analyzed: SCIELO 15%, PUBMED 5%, Dialnet 5%, Lilacs 5%, Redalyc 5%, Ciberindex 10%, Researchgate 5%, CDC –DGE 5%, DSPACE 5% , Springer 5%, Core.ac 5%, and other sources 30%. Conclusion: The emotional alterations that appear more frequently in mothers with newborns hospitalized in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; They are stress, depression, anguish and / or anxiety that present with the following characteristics: high level of stress, feelings of fear, and helplessness. It should be noted that among the most recurrent factors: the alteration of the mother-child role; Due to the physical and emotional separation, also the weak appearance of the newborn which causes uncertainty, pain and frustration in the mother.
