Características y frecuencia de tuberculosis en el Centro de Salud Tahuantinsuyo Bajo, Lima 2023

Abstract

La tuberculosis (TB) es una enfermedad infecciosa común y frecuentemente letal causada por Mycobacterium tuberculosis, una bacteria-alcohol ácido, resistente con capacidad de residir en los macrófagos, por ello la presente investigación tiene el objetivo de determinar las características y la frecuencia de pacientes diagnosticados con tuberculosis pulmonar, mayores de 18 años, en el Centro de Salud Tahuantinsuyo Bajo, Lima, 2023. Asimismo, la metodología de la investigación es descriptiva y retrospectiva utilizando la información recopilada por el Centro de Tahuantinsuyo Bajo, Lima 2023. La base poblacional de nuestra investigación está compuesta por 10,509 pacientes para el cual se seleccionarán a 371 individuos como muestra y se usará un método estadístico descriptivo a partir de la ficha de datos en el área de tuberculosis de la Institución y su implicancia es que las políticas de salud relacionadas con tuberculosis fueron influenciadas el 2023 por la pandemia COVID.

Tuberculosis (TB) is a common and often lethal infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, an acid-fast bacterium capable of residing within macrophages. Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the characteristics and frequency of adult patients diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis at the Centro de Salud Tahuantinsuyo Bajo. The research methodology is descriptive and retrospective, using information collected by the Health Center, Lima in 2023. The study population consists of 10,509 patients of which 371 individuals will be selected as the sample. A descriptive statistical method will be used based on data from the tuberculosis department of the institution. The significance of this study is that it examines tuberculosis-related health policies in 2023, which were influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
