Influencia del método de mamá canguro sobre el neurodesarrollo del recién nacido prematuro en la unidad de cuidados intensivos

Abstract

Introducción: El recién nacido prematuro en la unidad de cuidados intensivos se encuentra expuesto a factores de riesgo para su maduración, motivo por el cual, se desarrollan los cuidados dirigidos hacia el neurodesarrollo. Objetivo: Describir la influencia del método mamá canguro sobre el neurodesarrollo del recién nacido prematuro en la unidad de cuidados intensivos. Método: Estudio descriptivo de revisión bibliográfica, de tipo retrospectiva, de forma ordenada y lógica, en la revisión documental se revisaron 180 artículos, fueron seleccionados 30 artículos de las bases de datos Google Académico con 13 artículos con un 43.4%, Lilacs con 8 artículos con un 26.7%, Pubmed con 4 artículos con 13.3%, Alicia con 3 artículos con un 10% y ScieLo con 2 artículos con un 6.6%, los artículos seleccionados estuvieron redactados en Castellano, Inglés y Portugués. Conclusiones: Se concluyó que el Método Mamá Canguro tiene influencia sobre el Neurodesarrollo, ya que permitió la disminución de los determinantes del estrés del prematuro, se caracterizó favoreciendo el desarrollo físico y cognitivo, así mismo mejoró la neuroconducta, favoreció la estabilización de las funciones vitales y consolidó el vínculo madre – hijo; así mismo, la enfermera especialista en UCIN brinda los cuidados centrados en el neurodesarrollo y permite que el método sea viable dentro de la UCIN evitando desplazamientos en la vía respiratoria y endovenosa durante la aplicación del método.

Introduction: The premature newborn in the intensive care unit is exposed to risk factors for its maturation, which is why care directed towards neurodevelopment is developed. Objective: To describe the influence of the kangaroo mother method on the neurodevelopment of the premature newborn in the intensive care unit. Methodology: Descriptive retrospective literature review study, in an orderly and logical manner, in the documentary review 180 articles were reviewed, 30 articles were selected from the Google Scholar databases with 13 articles with 43.4%, Lilacs with 8 articles with 26.7%, Pubmed with 4 articles with 13.3%, Alicia with 3 articles with 10% and ScieLo with 2 articles with 6.6%. The selected articles were written in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Conclusions: It was concluded that the Kangaroo Mother Method has an influence on Neurodevelopment, since it allowed the reduction of the determinants of premature stress, it was characterized by favoring physical and cognitive development, it also improved neurobehavior, it favored the stabilization of vital functions and consolidated the mother-son bond; Likewise, the specialist nurse in the NICU provides care focused on neurodevelopment and allows the method to be viable within the NICU, avoiding displacements in the respiratory and intravenous pathways during the application of the method.
