Relación entre índice neutrófilo/linfocito e infección por hepatitis B oculto en donantes de sangre de un hospital de tercer nivel

Abstract

Antecedentes: La hepatitis B es una infección crónica y problema de sanidad; se identifica por desarrollar carcinoma hepatocelular, presentando a nivel patofisiologico una inflamación donde existe un incremento de neutrófilos y disminución de linfocitos. Por otro lado, la frecuencia de hepatitis B en donantes de sangre va desde 1.01 a 6.09%, de los cuales muchas veces se observa el patrón HBsAg negativo y anti -HBC positivo se considera como portadores de hepatitis B oculta donde el riesgo de transmisión puede ser hasta el 8.6% en una transfusión. Objetivos: Determinar la relación entre el índice neutrófilo/linfocito e infección por hepatitis B oculta en donantes de sangre de un hospital de tercer nivel durante el 2025. Materiales y métodos: Estudio analítico - transversal, la población se encuentra conformado por formatos de selección y muestras de los donantes de sangre que asisten al banco de sangre en un nosocomio del tercer nivel y el tamaño de muestra es un total 74, cuya forma de recolección será aleatorio simple. La variable dependiente es hepatitis B oculta y la independiente es el índice neutrófilo/linfocito. El análisis de datos se desarrollará en un programa Stata v.15 utilizando pruebas paramétricas y/o no paramétricas para determinar dicha relación.

Background: Hepatitis B is a chronic infection and health problem, characterized by the development of hepatocellular carcinoma. At the pathophysiological level, it presents as inflammation, with an increase in neutrophils and a decrease in lymphocytes. On the other hand, the frequency of hepatitis B in blood donors ranges from 1.01 to 6.09%, of which the HBsAg-negative pattern and anti-HBC positive are often observed; they are considered carriers of occult hepatitis B, where the risk of transmission can be up to 8.6% in a transfusion. Objectives: To determine the relationship between the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and occult hepatitis B infection in blood donors from a tertiary hospital during 2025. Materials and methods: Analytical - cross-sectional study, the population is made up of selection forms and samples from blood donors who attend the blood bank in a tertiary hospital, and the sample size is a total of 74, whose collection method will be simple random. The dependent variable is occult hepatitis B, and the independent variable is the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio. Data analysis will be performed in Stata v. 15 using parametric and/or nonparametric tests to determine this relationship.
