Estudio de caso sobre la adherencia al tratamiento en una usuaria con diagnóstico de trastornos mentales y del comportamiento debido al uso del alcohol en el Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario de San Román 2023

Abstract

El presente trabajo académico pretende teorizar el problema de consumo de alcohol en mujeres y las dificultades asociadas a la adherencia al tratamiento incluyendo los factores involucrados en esta variable. Según Peralta y Carbajal (2008) la adherencia al tratamiento es la disposición del usuario a cumplir las recomendaciones del programa terapéutico, que consta de la prescripción de medicamentos, pautas para un estilo de vida saludable y la aplicación de instrumentos de evaluación específicos. Y la dependencia alcohólica según el CIE – 10 comprende síntomas fisiológicos, conductuales y cognitivos donde el consumo adquiere prioridad. En los resultados se logró la adherencia al tratamiento de la usuaria, logrando la abstinencia total, superando su condición de dependencia alcohólica, un mejor y funcional estilo de vida, manejando habilidades sociales sanas y un avance considerable a la rehabilitación total, actualmente su condición es de seguimiento. Se concluyó que para definir la variable adherencia al tratamiento se debe tomar en cuenta diversos factores y ser abordados durante el tratamiento del consumo de alcohol en mujeres. Los programas de tratamiento tienen que ser estructurados tomando en cuenta las necesidades particulares de las usuarias y siendo ellas mismas parte activa de la planificación, ejecución y seguimiento, finalmente la recaída es parte del proceso de tratamiento.

This academic work aims to theorize the problem of alcohol consumption in women and the difficulties associated with adherence to treatment, including the factors involved in this variable. According to Peralta and Carbajal (2008), adherence to treatment is the willingness of the user to comply with the recommendations of the therapeutic program, which consists of the prescription of medications, guidelines for a healthy lifestyle, and the application of specific evaluation instruments. And alcohol dependence according to the ICD-10 includes physiological, behavioral and cognitive symptoms where consumption takes priority. In the results, the adherence to the treatment of the user was achieved, achieving total abstinence, overcoming her condition of alcohol dependence, a better and functional lifestyle, managing healthy social skills and considerable progress towards total rehabilitation, currently her condition is of follow up. It was concluded that in order to define the variable adherence to treatment, various factors must be taken into account and addressed during the treatment of alcohol consumption in women. The treatment programs have to be structured taking into account the particular needs of the users and being themselves an active part of the planning, execution and follow-up, finally the relapse is part of the treatment process.
