Cuidados de enfermería en la hipotermia inducida en recién nacidos con encefalopatía hipóxico isquémica

Abstract

Introducción: La hipotermia inducida es la terapia de elección para los recién nacidos con antecedente de encefalopatía hipóxico isquémico. El propósito de dicha terapia es la disminución de la temperatura corporal antes de las 6 horas de vida en un rango que va desde los 32 a los 34 grados ºC con una duración de 72 horas con el fin de proteger el cerebro y reducir secuelas neurológicas en el recién nacido. Para optimizar y obtener los mejores resultados de esta terapia se requiere la prestación de cuidados enfermeros complejos y específicos en sus diferentes etapas. Objetivo: Analizar los cuidados de enfermería en la hipotermia inducida en recién nacidos con encefalopatía hipóxico isquémica. Metodología: Revisión bibliográfica retrospectiva que resume investigaciones significativas en la práctica clínica. Se identificaron 28 artículos científicos obtenidos de las siguientes bases de datos: ScienceDirect (32%), revistas científicas (50%), National Center for Biotechnology Information (11%), SciELO (3.5%) y Pubmed (3.5%). Conclusión: Los cuidados enfermeros deben estar centrados en: los cuidados enfocados a la estabilización del recién nacido, la preparación del material a utilizar, la administración del tratamiento en todas sus fases y el soporte emocional de la familia.

Introduction: The induced hypothermia is the therapy of election for the newborn babies with antecedent of ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy. The purpose of the aforementioned therapy is the decrease of the corporal temperature before the 6 hours of life in a range that matches from the 32 to the 34 grades ºC with a duration of 72 hours with the aim of protecting the brain and reducing neurological sequelae in the newborn baby. The fringe benefit calls for taken care of complex and specific male nurses in his different stages itself in order to optimize and to obtain the best results of this therapy. Objective: Examining the nursing cares in the hypothermia induced in newborn babies with ischemic hypoxic encephalopathy. Methodology: Bibliographic retrospective revision that summarizes significant investigations in the clinical practice. They identified 28 scientific goods obtained of the following data bases: ScienceDirect ( 32 % ), scientific magazines ( 50 % ), National Center for Biotechnology Information ( 11 % ), SciELO ( 3,5 % ) and Pubmed ( 3,5 % ). Conclusion: The taken care of male nurses must be put in the center in: The cares focused to the newborn baby's stabilization, the preparation of the material to utilize, the administration of the treatment in all his phases and the family's emotional support.
