Comparación de las variaciones en la expresión del torque en el incisivo central superior usando diferentes prescripciones de brackets colocados a diferentes alturas de la corona dentaria con alambre de acero de calibre 0.019” x 0.025”. Método elementos finitos

Abstract

Introducción: Los brackets preajustados en los tratamientos de ortodoncia determinan: la inclinación, el torque y la rotación final de los dientes. Sin embargo, si el bracket se adhiere erróneamente, el diente tendrá una posición final incorrecta. Objetivo: Determinar las variaciones en la expresión del torque en el incisivo central superior usando diferentes prescripciones de brackets colocados a diferentes alturas de la corona dentaria con alambre de acero de calibre 0.019” x 0.025” mediante elementos finitos. Materiales y Métodos: Para el presente estudio se extraerá un modelo de un incisivo central superior de una Tomografía Cone Beam seleccionada y luego se procesará con un programa 3D Slicer, Autodesk Meshmixer y SolidWorks 2017. El procedimiento se realizará de la misma manera con el alambre de acero inoxidable de 0.019” x 0.025” y se instalará en la ranura del bracket sujetado con alambre de ligadura 0.010”. Conclusiones: Se espera que a medida que la posición del bracket se aleje del centro de resistencia, se genere mayor inclinación vestibular en la corona para los grupos de prescripción Roth y Ricketts, mientras el grupo con brackets prescripción Edgewise no presenta ningún tipo de inclinación coronaria vestibular indistintamente de la posición vertical del bracket en la corona.

Introduction: Preadjusted brackets in orthodontic treatments determine: inclination, torque and final teeth rotation. However, if the bracket is placed incorrectly, the tooth will have an incorrect final position. Objective: To determine the variations in torque expression in the upper central incisor using different bracket prescriptions placed at different heights of the dental crown with steel wire measuring 0.019” x 0.025” using finite elements. Materials and Methods: For this study, a model of an upper central incisor will be extracted from a selected Cone Beam Computarized Tomography and will then be processed using a 3D Slicer, Autodesk Meshmixer and SolidWorks 2017 program. 0.019” x 0.025” stainless steel wire will be installed in the same slot attached with 0.010” ligature wire. Conclusions: It is expected that as the bracket position moves away from the center of resistance, there will be more coronal buccal inclination for Roth and Ricketts prescription groups, except in Edgewise prescription brackets regardless of the vertical position of the bracket in the crowns.
