Evidencia científica sobre el conocimiento y práctica de los profesionales de enfermería sobre el posicionamiento quirúrgico del paciente

Abstract

La enfermera perioperatoria es la encargada de realizar la planificación e intervenciones de enfermería durante el procedimiento quirúrgico, teniendo en cuenta que parte de ello es realizar el posicionamiento del paciente de manera correcta, cuidando con detalle el no generar complicaciones en el paciente por el tiempo que se llevará a cabo la cirugía. Si bien es cierto, es el cirujano el responsable del posicionamiento quirúrgico correcto del paciente, quien participa activamente durante este procedimiento práctico es la enfermera perioperatoria ya que ayudará a cumplir las indicaciones médicas realizando los cuidados enfermeros. Objetivo: Analizar la evidencia científica sobre el conocimiento y práctica de los profesionales de enfermería sobre el posicionamiento quirúrgico del paciente. Metodología: se desarrolla una monografía de naturaleza retrospectiva, según un ordenamiento lógico, sintetizando las múltiples fuentes bibliográficas. Así, se recopiló información proveniente de 43 artículos científicos, considerando criterios tanto para incluir como excluir estudios, los cuales fueron obtenidos de repositorios académicos, incluyendo Elsevier, Google Académico, NIH, Pubmed, Scielo y ScienceDirect. Conclusiones: Se describen los conocimientos del personal enfermero, hallando un nivel bajo por más del 50% con este déficit, a diferencia que en la práctica el nivel es alto y esto es a causa de que los profesionales de enfermería trabajan de manera rutinaria, pero no cuentan con evaluaciones o incentivos por parte del centro laboral para que ellos puedan mejorar sus conocimientos o actualizar los mismos para dar una mejor atención al paciente.

Although it is true that it is the surgeon who is responsible for the correct surgical positioning of the patient, the person who actively participates during this practical procedure is the perioperative nurse since she will help comply with the medical indications by carrying out nursing care. Objective: Analyze the scientific evidence on the knowledge and practice of nursing professionals regarding the surgical positioning of the patient. Methodology: a monograph of a retrospective nature is developed, according to a logical order, synthesizing the multiple bibliographic sources. Thus, information was collected from 43 scientific articles, considering criteria for both including and excluding studies, which were obtained from academic repositories, including Elsevier, Google Scholar, NIH, Pubmed, Scielo and ScienceDirect. Conclusions: The knowledge of the nursing staff is described, finding a low level for more than 50% with this deficit, a difference that in practice the level is high and this is because the nursing professionals work routinely, but They do not have evaluations or incentives from the workplace so that they can improve their knowledge or update it to provide better patient care.
