Nivel de conocimiento y el riesgo de desarrollar diabetes mellitus tipo II en conductores de mototaxis post estado de emergencia por COVID – 19, Huaral 2022

Abstract

En la actualidad el transporte urbano menor o mototaxista por su disponibilidad y versatilidad a cualquier terreno es requerido por la población. La problemática en relación con los conductores de mototaxis, por su falta de tiempo y sensibilización para mejorar sus estilos de vida, los convierte en un potencial grupo de riesgo de padecer DM II. Objetivo general: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y riesgo de desarrollar Diabetes Mellitus tipo II en conductores de mototaxis post estado de emergencia por Covid – 19, Huaral 2022. Material y Métodos: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, descriptivo y corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 108 mototaxistas de la empresa “LOS NATURALES - MIGUEL GRAU”, para medir el conocimiento sobre la DM tipo II utilizamos el cuestionario DKQ 24, para detectar el riesgo de desarrollar DM II se utilizó el test de FINDRISK. Resultados: Se determinó un nivel de conocimiento medio con un 65,74% sobre la DM II, así mismo, los conductores presentaron un riesgo aumentado con un 38% Conclusiones: Se observa que el nivel de conocimiento de los conductores es medio y que el nivel de riesgo de desarrollar DM II en un periodo de 10 años es aumentado.

At present the minor urban transport or motorcycle taxi driver due to its availability and versatility to any terrain is required by the population. The problem in relation to motorcycle taxi drivers, due to their lack of time and awareness to improve their lifestyles, makes them a potential risk group for suffering from DM II. General objective: To determine the level of knowledge and risk of developing Type II Diabetes Mellitus in motorcycle taxi drivers after a state of emergency by Covid – 19, Huaral 2022. Material and Methods: Study with a quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 108 motorcycle taxi drivers from the company "LOS NATURALES - MIGUEL GRAU", to measure knowledge about type II DM we used the DKQ 24 questionnaire, to detect the risk of developing DM II the FINDRISK test was used. Results: A medium level of knowledge was determined with 65,74% about DM II, likewise, the drivers presented an increased risk with 38% Conclusions: It is observed that the level of knowledge of the drivers is medium and that the level of risk of developing DM II in a period of 10 years is low and has increased.
