Cuidados de enfermería al paciente politraumatizado atendido en el área de emergencia

Abstract

Introducción: El politraumatismo en muchos de los países representa una pandemia en los últimos tiempos. Se define politraumatizado a aquella persona que sufre dos o más lesiones traumáticas que pueden alterar sus constantes vitales poniendo en peligro su vida a causa de la simultaneidad de la lesión, gravedad, y necesidad de asistencia de un equipo multidisciplinario. Objetivo: Describir los cuidados brindados por el profesional enfermero en el paciente politraumatizado atendido en el área de emergencia, publicados entre el año 2010 al 2021 Metodología: Estudio monográfico, descriptivo, retrospectivo, mediante revisión bibliográfica de literatura científica. La búsqueda se encuentra orientada a los cuidados de enfermería al politraumatizado Resultados: tras la búsqueda bibliográfica inicial se encontraron un total de 29 artículos. Después de aplicar los criterios de inclusión y exclusión y, tras la revisión del título y resumen, y los excluidos por no facilitar un texto completo, se incluyeron en el estudio un total de 20 artículos de revistas de enfermería indexadas. Conclusión: Los cuidados de enfermería en el manejo del usuario de salud politraumatizado en el servicio de urgencias en su generalidad se realiza de manera correcta, existe oscilación de recursos básicos en los servicios y en entrenamiento del personal de enfermería.

Introduction: Polytraumatism in many of the countries represents a pandemic in recent times. Polytrauma is defined as a person who suffers two or more traumatic injuries that can alter their vital signs, endangering their lives due to the simultaneity of the injury, severity, and the need for assistance from a multidisciplinary team. Objective: To describe the care provided by the nursing professional in the polytraumatized patient treated in the emergency area, published between 2010 and 2021. Methodology: Monographic, descriptive, retrospective study, through bibliographic review of scientific literature. The search is oriented towards nursing care for polytraumatized patients. Results: After the initial bibliographic search, a total of 29 articles were found. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria and, after reviewing the title and abstract, and those excluded for not providing a full text, a total of 20 articles from indexed nursing journals were included in the study. Conclusion: Nursing care in the management of the polytraumatized health user in the emergency service is generally carried out correctly, there is an oscillation of basic resources in the services and in the training of the nursing staff.
