Análisis del paro cardiorrespiratorio en el ámbito pre e intra hospitalario

Abstract

Antecedentes: El paro cardíaco es un evento que corresponde al cese repentino e inesperado del funcionamiento mecánico efectivo del corazón. Objetivo: Caracterizar la bibliografía científica sobre el paro cardiorrespiratorio en el ámbito pre e intra hospitalario. Métodos y Materiales: Estudio de diseño descriptivo, documental y corte retrospectivo. La información fue buscada a través de la base de datos electrónicas como Scielo, PubMed, Elsevier, Redalyc, Biblioteca Virtual UPCH; fueron seleccionados 27 artículos que cumplieron los criterios de selección. Resultados: El 30% de las publicaciones se realizaron en Estados Unidos, durante el año 2022. Asimismo, el 44,4% de los artículos fueron localizados en PubMed. El paro cardiorrespiratorio en el ámbito pre hospitalario tuvo incidencia del 70% y, en el ámbito intra hospitalario reveló un 30%, de acuerdo a los reportes. Conclusión: En el ámbito pre hospitalario, es necesario conocer la guía de actuación para la reanimación cardiopulmonar y el uso de desfibriladores externos automáticos (DEA) de acceso público fue efectivo para los pacientes con paro cardíaco extrahospitalario (OHCA). Asimismo, en el ámbito intra hospitalario para el abordaje del PCR el enfermero tiene una gran responsabilidad, por ello, se encuentra inmersa su preparación cognitiva.

Background: Cardiac arrest is an event that corresponds to the sudden and unexpected cessation of effective mechanical functioning of the heart. Objective: To characterize the scientific literature on cardiorespiratory arrest in the pre- and in-hospital setting. Methods and Materials: Descriptive, documentary and retrospective design study. The information was searched through electronic databases such as Scielo, PubMed, Elsevier, Redalyc, UPCH Virtual Library; 27 articles that met the selection criteria were selected. Results: 30% of the publications were made in the United States, during the year 2022. Likewise, 44.4% of the articles were located in PubMed. Cardiorespiratory arrest in the prehospital setting had an incidence of 70% and, in the inpatient setting, it reached 30%, according to reports. Conclusion: In the prehospital setting, it is necessary to know the action guide for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of public access automated external defibrillators (AED) for patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Likewise, in the in-hospital environment, for the CRP approach, the nurse has a great responsibility, therefore, they are immersed in their cognitive preparation.
