Efectividad de la terapia de masaje infantil en el manejo del estrés de neonatos prematuros en una UCI neonatal, Lima – 2026

Abstract

El nacimiento prematuro, caracterizado como la ocurrencia del nacimiento antes delas 37 semanas de gestación, se identifica como una de las causas primordiales de mortalidad perinatal y constituye un reto considerable para la salud neonatal e infantil. El neonato prematuro manifiesta una inmadurez neurológica y fisiológica que intensifica su susceptibilidad al estrés ambiental inherente a la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales. Objetivo: Determinar la efectividad de la terapia de masaje infantil (TMI) en la reducción de los indicadores de estrés fisiológico y conductual en neonatos prematuros hospitalizados en la UCIN. Material y Métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, de diseño cuasi experimental, con grupo control y grupo experimental, y mediciones pre-test y post-test. La población estará conformada por 30 neonatos prematuros hospitalizados en UCIN. La técnica será la observación, se emplearán como instrumentos el test de estrés y dos fichas observacionales que se aplicarán antes y después de la intervención. El análisis de datos será descriptivo e inferencial, al respecto se aplicará para la prueba de hipótesis t Student (para datos normales) o Wilcoxon (datos no normales), con una significativa (p < 0.05).

Premature birth, defined as birth before 37 weeks of gestation, is identified as aleading cause of perinatal mortality and poses a significant challenge to neonataland infant health. Premature infants exhibit neurological and physiological immaturity that intensifies their susceptibility to the environmental stress in herentin the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Objective: To determine the effectiveness of infant massage therapy (IMT) in reducing physiological and behavioral stress indicators in premature infants hospitalized in the NICU. Materials and Methods: This is a quantitative, quasi-experimental study with acontrol and experimental group, and pre- and post-test measurements. The population will consist of 30 premature infants hospitalized in the NICU. The technique will be observation, and the instruments used will be a stress test and two observational forms, which will be administered before and after the intervention. Data analysis will be both descriptive and inferential, employing the Student's t-test (for normally distributed data) or the Wilcoxon signed-rank test (for non-normally distributed data), with a significance level of p < 0.05.
