Ergonomía y salud en las organizaciones

Abstract

The state of the art on ergonomics and occupational health is presented from a psychological perspective, recognizing the importance of the role of the psychologist, the theoretical bases of behavior, the interaction with other specialties and programs to maintain healthy work spaces for the benefit of the collaborator. A review of the most important antecedents in the evolution of employment systems and scientific advances made by psychologists and other professionals linked to work science has been carried out. According to research, it is not limited only to the study of the physical and anthropometric elements of the person, but also to identify mental and environmental factors. Cognitive aspects such as the effects of work stress and fatigue, causing errors and accidents in the place where they carry out their activities, are analyzed. National and international studies, reporting statistics, reports of accident rates, causes of the high number of deaths in the world and concepts standardized by organizations are presented in order to make the population aware that human life is valuable and that development economic must ensure their integral well-being in the positions they hold. Needs and motivation theories that can explain behavior exposed to the danger of harm, diagnostic methods and proposals for intervention models of the psychology professional as a member of a multidisciplinary team are included.

Se presenta el estado del arte sobre ergonomía y salud en las organizaciones desde un enfoque psicológico reconociendo la importancia del rol del psicólogo, las bases teóricas del comportamiento, la interacción con otras especialidades y programas para mantener espacios saludables laborales en beneficio del colaborador. Se ha realizado la revisión de los antecedentes más importantes en la evolución de los sistemas de empleo y los avances científicos realizados por psicólogos y otros profesionales ligados a la ciencia del trabajo. De acuerdo con las investigaciones, no se limita solo al estudio de los elementos físicos y antropométricos de la persona, sino también a identificar factores mentales y ambientales. Se analizan aspectos cognitivos como los efectos del estrés laboral y la fatiga, causantes de errores y accidentes en el lugar donde ejecuta sus actividades. Se presentan estudios nacionales e internacionales, estadísticas de informes, reportes de índices de accidentes, causas del elevado número de mortalidad en el mundo y conceptos estandarizados por organizaciones con el fin de concientizar a la población de que la vida humana es valiosa y que el desarrollo económico debe velar por su bienestar integral en los puestos que desempeñen. Se incluyen las teorías de necesidades y motivación que pueden explicar la conducta expuesta al peligro de sufrir daño, métodos de diagnóstico y propuestas de modelos de intervención del profesional de psicología como integrante de un equipo multidisciplinario.
