Factores de afrontamiento y adaptación de padres en una unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales

Abstract

Antecedentes: La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) ha señalado que, en el mundo, cada año, aproximadamente 30 millones de niños nacen antes de las 37 semanas de gestación, con bajo peso, o con alguna patología, por lo que requieren ser hospitalizados para recibir cuidados especializados. La hospitalización del niño en la UCIN es generalmente imprevisible y de gran preocupación y desesperación para los padres, quienes afrontan situaciones de alto estrés al ver truncado su deseo de tener a su niño en brazos y de sentirse incapaz de atenderlo como lo había planeado durante todo el embarazo, provocando en muchos de ellos síntomas de ansiedad y depresión. Objetivo: Determinar los factores de afrontamiento y adaptación de padres en una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales. Diseño: Enfoque cuantitativo, diseño descriptico y transversal. Población: será conformada por 80 padres de niños hospitalizados según registro de padres cuidadores de un Hospital Nacional del servicio de UCI Neonatal. Recolección de Datos: Se obtendrá el permiso del comité de ética de la UPCH, se solicitará el permiso correspondiente a la dirección de un Hospital Nacional y la jefa del servicio de la UCI Neonatal. La técnica será la encuesta. Instrumento: el cuestionario denominado “Escala de afrontamiento y adaptación de Callista Roy”. Análisis de Datos: Los datos serán organizados en el programa Excel, para su presentación en tablas estadísticas con el correspondiente análisis.

Population: it will be made up of 80 parents of hospitalized children according to the registry of caregivers of the Hospital Naciobal of the Neonatal ICU service. Data Collection: Permission will be obtained from the UPCH ethics committee, the corresponding permission will be requested from the Hospital management and the head of the Neonatal ICU service. The technique will be the survey. Instrument: the questionnaire called "Callista Roy's Coping and Adaptation Scale". Data Analysis: The data will be organized in the Excel program, for presentation in statistical tables with the corresponden analysis.
