Conocimientos y actitudes sobre traumatismos dentoalveolares de los docentes de las instituciones educativas inicial Fe y Alegría Nro. 2 y Pedro Paulet 3023 Lima – 2025

Abstract

Introducción: El traumatismo dentoalveolar es frecuente en niños y puede tener consecuencias estéticas, funcionales y psicológicas. Su manejo adecuado depende del conocimiento de quienes rodean al niño, como padres y docentes. Estudios previos muestran un bajo nivel de conocimiento sobre su atención. Este estudio busca analizar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitudes de los docentes frente a estos traumatismos en dos instituciones educativas de Lima en 2025. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre conducta a seguir ante traumatismos dentoalveolares en educadores del círculo infantil. Materiales y métodos: Estudio observacional descriptivo transversal. Se utilizará una encuesta validada teniendo en cuenta las variables en estudio. Conclusiones: Se concluye que resulta fundamental implementar programas de capacitación y actualización en salud bucal dirigidos a los educadores, con el fin de mejorar la calidad de atención ante situaciones de emergencia dental en la etapa infantil.

Introduction: Dentoalveolar trauma is common in children and can have aesthetic, functional, and psychological consequences. Its proper management depends on the knowledge of those around the child, such as parents and teachers. Previous studies show a low level of knowledge regarding its management. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of teachers toward these traumas in two educational institutions in Lima in 2025. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about the appropriate response to dentoalveolar trauma among early childhood educators. Materials and methods: Descriptive cross-sectional observational study. A validated questionnaire will be used, taking into account the study variables. Conclusions: It is concluded that it is essential to implement training and continuing education programs in oral health for educators, in order to improve the quality of care in dental emergency situations during early childhood.
