Nivel de conocimiento y práctica sobre manejo de línea arterial del profesional de enfermería en un servicio de cuidados intensivos neonatales

Abstract

El presente proyecto de investigación surge debido a la necesidad de aprendizaje de las enfermeras de una UCI neonatal para que puedan instalar un equipo de línea arterial para la correspondiente monitorización y cuidados a seguir posteriormente, brindando una atención adecuada al neonato; el objetivo de este estudio es determinar el nivel de conocimiento y práctica sobre manejo de línea arterial del profesional de enfermería en el servicio de cuidados intensivos neonatales. El estudio será de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo y de corte transversal. La población será de 36 enfermeras especialistas en UCIN que trabajan en el servicio de UCI neonatal en un Hospital de Lima, la técnica a usar será la encuesta a través de un cuestionario de conocimiento de 20 preguntas y una lista de chequeo de 8 ítems sobre manejo de línea arterial, previamente validada por un juicio de 10 expertos. Para determinar el nivel de conocimiento y práctica sobre manejo de línea arterial del profesional de enfermería, se usará la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado y se trabajará a un nivel de significancia estadístico de 0.05. Los resultados serán presentados en tablas y gráficas. El nivel de conocimiento y práctica demostrado por el estudio permitirá tomar decisiones que contribuya a la mejora de habilidades del personal de enfermería mediante estrategias educativas.

This research project arises due to the learning need of nurses in a neonatal ICU so that they can install arterial line equipment for the corresponding monitoring and care to follow later, providing adequate care to the newborn; The objective of this study is to determine the level of knowledge and practice on arterial line management of nursing professionals in the neonatal intensive care service. The study will be quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional. The population will be 36 NICU specialist nurses who work in the neonatal ICU service of a Hospital in Lima, the technique to be used will be the survey through a knowledge questionnaire of 20 questions and a checklist of 8 items on arterial line management, previously validated by a trial of 10 experts. To determine the level of knowledge and practice on arterial line management of the nursing professional, the Chi-square statistical test will be used and a statistical significance level of 0.05 will be used. The results will be presented in tables and graphs. The level of knowledge and practice demonstrated by the study will allow decisions to be made that contribute to improving the skills of nursing staff through educational strategies.
