Efectividad de una intervención educativa de enfermería en el conocimiento sobre los cuidados que realiza el paciente que recibe tratamiento de quimioterapia en un hospital público - Callao, 2024

Abstract

Actualmente, existen limitadas investigaciones que estudian el impacto de las estrategias educativas en el paciente oncológico, siendo la quimioterapia uno de los tratamientos de primera elección. Es importante abordar este tópico porque permitirá mejorar la calidad de la atención y la calidad de vida del paciente que recibe quimioterapia ya que esta puede ocasionar efectos secundarios, síntomas molestos e inclusive complicaciones si no se tienen los cuidados necesarios. Objetivo: Determinar la efectividad de una intervención educativa de enfermería en el conocimiento sobre los cuidados que realiza el paciente que recibe tratamiento de quimioterapia en un hospital público del Callao. Material y métodos: Este estudio será de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño cuasiexperimental con la aplicación de un pre y post test y la aplicación de una intervención educativa para pacientes, de corte longitudinal y prospectiva. La técnica será la encuesta mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario creado por la investigadora, que contiene 24 preguntas para la variable planteada, y será validada por juicio de expertos. Asimismo, se creará un programa educativo para determinar su efectividad en el conocimiento del paciente. Las consideraciones éticas que se tomaran en cuenta son los principios de autonomía, beneficencia, justicia y no maleficencia.

Currently, there is limited research that studies the impact of educational strategies on cancer patients, with chemotherapy being one of the first-choice treatments. It is important to address this topic because it will improve the quality of care and thequality of life of the patient receiving chemotherapy since it can cause side effects, annoying symptoms and even complications if the necessary care is not taken. Objective: Determine the effectiveness of a nursing educational intervention in the knowledge about the care provided by the patient receiving chemotherapy treatment in a public hospital in Callao. Material and methods: This study will have a quantitative approach, quasi-experimental design with the application of a pre and posttest and the application of an educational intervention for patients, longitudinal and prospective. The technique will be the survey through the application of a questionnaire created by the researcher, which contains 24 questions for the posed variable, and will be validated by expert judgment. Likewise, an educational program will be created to determine its effectiveness in patient knowledge. The ethical considerations that will be taken into account are the principles of autonomy, beneficence, justice and non-maleficence.
