La familia del paciente crítico, sus necesidades y el abordaje de enfermería

Abstract

Introducción: En el plano hospitalario, específicamente en el servicio de cuidados intensivos, el familiar cuidador y el paciente se convierten en una unidad de cuidado, por lo tanto, es indispensable que la enfermera asuma la preocupación y el deseo de prestarle las atenciones correspondientes a través de un enfoque holístico que promueva y fortalezca la relación terapéutica entre estos tres actores. Objetivo: Analizar y presentar las necesidades más relevantes de las familias del paciente critico hospitalizado en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI). Metodología: Enfoque cualitativo de revisión bibliográfica sistemática en repositorios y revistas científicas con un máximo de 6 años de antigüedad. Entre las fuentes más resaltantes que se analizaron están Scielo, Publimed, Elsevier, SEEIUC y otras revistas de habla hispana. Resultados: Los resultados obtenidos, se respaldan en un total de 31 artículos de revistas y tesis con carácter cualitativo y cuantitativo. También se emplearon documentos de respaldo pero que no cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Conclusiones: Existen diversos estudios sobre la relación enfermera paciente y familia, trilogía que solo funcionará de manera óptima si se cumplen ciertos parámetros regidos por el humanismo, empatía, profesionalismo y sobre todo la comunicación como eje fundamental de las buenas relaciones con los pacientes y sus familiares, especialmente los internados en el servicio de UCI, toda vez que la principal necesidad que tienen los familiares cuidadores es que le comuniquen adecuadamente sobre el estado de su paciente.

Objective: Analyze and present the most relevant needs of the families of the critical patient hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Methodology: Qualitative approach of systematic bibliographic review in repositories and scientific journals with a maximum of 6 years old. Among the most outstanding sources that were analyzed are Scielo, Publimed, Elsevier, SEEIUC and other Spanish-language magazines. Results: The results obtained are supported by a total of 31 journal articles and theses with a qualitative and quantitative nature. Supporting documents were also used but did not meet the inclusion criteria. Conclusions: There are various studies on the nurse-patient-family relationship, a trilogy that will only work optimally if certain parameters governed by humanism, empathy, professionalism and, above all, communication as the fundamental axis of good relations with patients and their families are met. relatives, especially those admitted to the ICU service, since the main need that family caregivers have is that they communicate adequately about the condition of their patient.
