Síndrome de burnout en enfermeros que cuidaron pacientes con COVID-19 en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un hospital nivel III de Lima Metropolitana durante la pandemia

Abstract

Antecedentes: El estrés en tiempos de pandemia nos ha llevado a cambios de nuestra conducta humana y salud mental por lo que si no se controla puede conllevar a sufrir muchos problemas en nuestra salud. Los enfermeros que trabajaron en las UCI del área COVID-19 estuvieron constantemente expuestos al virus, el riesgo de poder contagiarse y el miedo es mayor por lo que muchas veces esta situación terminó agotándolos y perjudicando en la calidad de atención que realiza para el cuidado del paciente. Objetivo: Determinar la presencia del Síndrome de Burnout en enfermeros que cuidaron pacientes con COVID-19 en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos de un hospital peruano, 2023. Métodos y Materiales: El estudio de investigación tiene un enfoque cuantitativo no experimental tipo descriptivo transversal. La población estará constituida por enfermeros(as) que trabajan en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos que atendieron a pacientes con COVID-19. Los datos serán recolectados aplicando el cuestionario, (Test de Maslach), para el análisis de datos se utilizará el paquete estadístico STATA versión 15, el análisis descriptivo de los datos se realizará mediante frecuencia porcentajes, media y desviación estándar, para analizar la relación entre las variables se aplicará el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson. Criterios de Inclusión: Enfermeros de ambos sexos que trabajen en las Unidades de Cuidados Intensivos y que cuidaron a pacientes COVID-19 mínimo un mes y que voluntariamente acepten participar en el estudio.

The nurses who worked in the ICUs of the COVID – 19 area were constantly exposed to the virus, the Risk of being infected and the fear is greater, so may times this situation ended up exhausting them and harming the quality of care provided for the care of the Patient. Objective: Determine the presence of Burnout Syndrome in nurses who cared for patients with COVID – 19 in the Intesive Care Units of a Peruvian hospital, 2023. Methods and Materials: The research study has a non – experimental quantitative, descriptive cross – sectional approach. The population will consist of nurses who work in the Intensive Care Units that cared for patients with COVID -19. The data will be collected by Applying the questionnaire (Maslach Test), for data analysis the STATA statistical package version 15 will be used, the descriptive analysis of the data will be carried out using frequency, percentages, mean and standard deviation, to analyze the relationship between The Pearson correlation coefficient will be applied to the variables. Inclusion Criteria: Nurses of both sexes who work in Intensive Care Units and who cared for COVID – 19 patients for at least one month and who voluntarily agree to participate in the study.
