Utilidad de la tomografía computarizada en el cáncer de páncreas

Abstract

En la actualidad la tomografía juega un rol muy trascendental en el diagnóstico de cáncer de páncreas. Objetivo: Valorar la utilidad de la tomografía computarizada en el diagnóstico de cáncer de páncreas. Tipo de estudio: Monografía. Metodología: Se ha elaborado una revisión y análisis bibliográfico en Pubmed, Google académico con respecto a la Utilidad de la tomografía computarizada en el cáncer de páncreas. Resultados: De la revisión de los 15 artículos, el 85% de ellos estiman la tomografía computarizada como la opción primordial y la más fiable para el diagnóstico de cáncer de páncreas, el 15 % no dan credibilidad a la prueba. Conclusión: La presente monografía concluye que la tomografía computarizada, es y seguirá siendo la técnica diagnóstica, por su alta sensibilidad (92.75%) y especificidad (77%), más confiable para detectar cáncer de páncreas en relación con otras pruebas de imagen, basados en la correlación histopatológica encontrada.

At present, tomography plays a very transcendental role in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Objective: Assess the usefulness of computerized tomography in the diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Type of study: monograph. METHODOLOGY: A BIBLIOGRAPHIC REVIEW AND ANALYSIS, ACADEMIC GOOGLE regarding the usefulness of computerized tomography in pancreatic cancer, has been developed. Results: From the review of the 15 articles, 85 % of them estimate computerized tomography as the primary and the most reliable option for the diagnosis of pancreas cancer, 15 % do not give credibility to the test. Conclusion: The present monograph concludes that computed tomography is and will continue to be the diagnostic technique, due to its high sensitivity (92.75%) and specificity (77%), more reliable to detect pancreas cancer in relation to other image tests, based on the histopathological correlation found.
