Evidencias de investigación en cuidados paliativos desde el enfoque del cuidador del paciente oncológico

Abstract

Las acciones que desarrolla la enfermera en cuidados paliativos están dirigidas a prestar ayuda al paciente con cáncer, no solo se enfoca en aliviar el dolor, sino también en mitigar el sufrimiento físico, psicosocial y emocional del paciente y a la vez del cuidador para poder sobrellevar este proceso, propiciando espacios que le permita compartir experiencias e integrar de manera más cercana a los miembros de la familia. Objetivo: Describir la evidencia científica sobre cuidados paliativos desde el enfoque del cuidador del paciente oncológico. Metodología: Estudio monográfico, descriptivo, retrospectivo, mediante revisión documental. Resultados: Tras la búsqueda bibliográfica se encontraron 20 artículos de revistas de enfermería indexadas con los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, la mayoría son de Brasil, cualitativas y de la base de datos de Lilacs. Conclusión: Dentro de la evidencia científica encontrada sobre cuidados paliativos desde el enfoque del cuidador, se destaca que el cuidador no se siente seguro al momento de brindar los cuidados, por el hecho de no tener la capacitación necesaria. Además de sentir que hay escasa comunicacion entre el cuidador y el equipo de salud para darles la orientación. Se resalta que ser un cuidador de paciente con cáncer es un desafío, porque el cuidador no está preparado vive en constante estrés físico y emocional que a menudo conducen a la enfermedad.

The actions developed by the palliative care nurse are aimed at providing help to the cancer patient, not only focusing on pain relief, but also on mitigating the physical, psychosocial and emotional suffering of the patient and at the same time of the caregiver in order to cope with this process, fostering spaces that allow you to share experiences and integrate family members more closely. Objective: To describe the scientific evidence on palliative care from the perspective of the cancer patient caregiver. Methodology: Monographic, descriptive, retrospective study, through documentary review. Results: After the bibliographic search, 20 articles from nursing journals indexed with the inclusion and exclusion criteria were found, most of them are from Brazil, qualitative and from the Lilacs database. Conclusion: Within the scientific evidence found on palliative care from the caregiver's perspective, it is highlighted that the caregiver does not feel safe when providing care, due to the fact that they do not have the necessary training. In addition to feeling that there is little communication between the caregiver and the health team to give them guidance. It is emphasized that being a caregiver for a cancer patient is challenging, because the unprepared caregiver lives in constant physical and emotional stress that often lead to illness.
