Comparación del gasto de bolsillo en consulta odontológica de pacientes de posgrado atendidos de enero a diciembre del año 2019 en la Clínica Docente Estomatológica Cayetano Heredia

Abstract

Antecedentes: Como profesional conocer el Gasto de Bolsillo es relevante, ya que nos permite comprender como este puede impactar en los hogares, según el tipo de tratamiento que se realice el paciente, su sexo y la sede en la cual se realice la atención Objetivo: Comparar el gasto del bolsillo (GDB) en consulta odontológica de diferentes especialidades de los pacientes de la Clínica Docente Cayetano Heredia Métodos y Materiales: Tiene como diseño un estudio trasversal, descriptivo, retrosprospectivo y observacional. La población que se utilizó para el estudio está definida como el total de registros del listado de pacientes de postgrado de enero a diciembre del 2019; se excluyeron los registros de los pacientes con datos incompletos. Como variables se tiene el Gasto de Bolsillo, Tipo de Servicio y el tipo de tratamiento; y como covariables: sexo y sede. Se utilizó el software StataSE versión 16 (64-bit) para realizar un análisis descriptivo de las variables cuantitativas del estudio, determinando las dimensiones de tendencia central (promedio, mediana) y medidas de dispersión (desviación estándar), para el análisis bivariado se realizó la comprobación del supuesto de normalidad. Este estudio se ejecutó con un nivel de confianza del 95%. Conclusiones: El GDB de la sede San Isidro fue mayor que la Sede San Martín de Porres, el GDB por tratamiento más alto fue el tratamiento quirúrgico de osteotomía, el GDB por tipo de servicio más alto fue implantología y los GDB de los pacientes masculinos y femeninos no presentan diferencia.

Methods and Materials: Its design is a cross-sectional, descriptive, retrospective and observational study. The population used for the study is defined as the total number of records from the list of graduate patients from January to December 2019; Patient records with incomplete data will be excluded. As variables we have the Health Expenditures, Type of Service and the type of treatment; and as covariates: sex and location. The StataSE version 16 software (64 bits) will be used to carry out a descriptive analysis of the quantitative variables of the study, determining the dimensions of central tendency (mean, median) and dispersion measures (standard deviation), for the bivariate analysis the verification of the assumption of normality. This study will be run with a 95% confidence level. Conclusions: The BGF of the San Isidro branch is higher than that of the San Martín de Porres branch, the BGF for the highest treatment is that of osteotomy surgical treatment, the BGP for the highest type of implantology service and the BGG of male and female patients do not present a difference.
