Calidad de vida en relación a la salud bucal en escolares de 11 a 12 años en un centro educativo estatal en el departamento de Huánuco 2025

Abstract

Introducción: El presente trabajo de portafolio tiene como propósito general exponer las competencias adquiridas en docencia, análisis crítico e investigación. El tema central es calidad de vida en relación a la salud bucal (CVRSB), definida como la percepción subjetiva del individuo sobre el impacto de su salud oral en su bienestar diario. Desarrollo temático: El portafolio se estructura en tres partes. La primera sección presenta el Sílabo de Docencia Universitaria, enfocado en el instrumento de medida. El curso busca capacitar en la aplicación práctica del cuestionario Child-OIDP en escolares de 11 a 12 años, promoviendo la educación para la salud con participación. La segunda sección contiene el análisis crítico de literatura sobre CVRSB en adolescentes. La calidad del reporte fue evaluada con la guía PRISMA, y la calidad metodológica mediante la lista de verificación CASPE. Los hallazgos confirman que la alimentación es la dimensión más afectada y el dolor de muelas la principal causa de impacto. La tercera sección es el proyecto de investigación, cuyo objetivo es describir el nivel de CVRSB y evaluar el impacto de las condiciones orales en 388 escolares de 11 a 12 años en Huánuco, utilizando el Child-OIDP. Conclusiones: Los logros alcanzados incluyen la planificación clara de contenidos (sílabo) y el fortalecimiento de la capacidad de evaluación de la validez científica. El proyecto de investigación representa un gran aporte a la sociedad y a la comunidad científica, sirviendo como base para futuras investigaciones.

Introduction: This portfolio aims to showcase the skills acquired in teaching, critical analysis, and research. The central theme is oral health-related quality of life (OHQL), defined as an individual's subjective perception of the impact of their oral health on their daily well-being. Thematic Development: The portfolio is structured in three parts. The first section presents the University Teaching Syllabus, focusing on the measurement instrument. The course aims to train participants in the practical application of the Child-OIDP questionnaire with 11- to 12-year-old students, promoting participatory health education. The second section contains a critical analysis of the literature on OHQL in adolescents. The quality of the report was assessed using the PRISMA guidelines, and the methodological quality was evaluated using the CASPE checklist. The findings confirm that nutrition is the most affected dimension and toothache is the primary cause of impact. The third section is the research project, whose objective is to describe the level of HRQoL and evaluate the impact of oral health conditions in 388 schoolchildren aged 11 to 12 in Huánuco, using the Child-OIDP. Conclusions: The achievements include clear content planning (syllabus) and the strengthening of the capacity to assess scientific validity. The research project represents a significant contribution to society and the scientific community, serving as a basis for future research.
