Efectividad de un programa educativo de enfermería en el conocimiento sobre primeros auxilios en docentes de primaria de una institución educativa, 2025

Abstract

La capacitación en primeros auxilios es crucial en el ámbito educativo para garantizar la seguridad estudiantil, por lo que esta investigación abordó la necesidad de evaluar y mejorar las competencias de los docentes en el manejo de emergencias. Objetivo: Determinar la efectividad de un programa educativo para mejorar el nivel de conocimiento sobre primeros auxilios en docentes. Material y método: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo con diseño pre experimental (pre y post test), utilizando una muestra de 16 docentes. Los datos se recolectaron mediante un cuestionario validado y se analizaron con la prueba de rangos de Wilcoxon. Resultados: Tras la intervención, el 100% de los docentes alcanzó un nivel de conocimiento “Bueno”. El conocimiento sobre las acciones para lipotimia incrementó a 93.8% y para convulsiones al 100.0%. La diferencia entre el pre y post test fue estadísticamente significativa Z = -3.415; p = 0.001. Conclusiones: La aplicación del programa educativo demostró ser altamente efectiva, logrando que el 100% de los docentes pueda intervenir de manera segura y oportuna ante accidentes escolares. Estos hallazgos reafirman la importancia de integrar estas intervenciones, lideradas por profesionales de enfermería, en el desarrollo docente.

First aid training is crucial in the educational setting to guarantee student safety; thus, this research addressed the need to evaluate and improve teacher competencies in emergency management. Initially, a high level of unfamiliarity was detected, especially regarding the complete lack of mastery of the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) sequence and basic airway management, in addition to 75.0% unfamiliarity with the correct action for syncope. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of an educational program in improving teachers' level of knowledge regarding first aid. Methodology: A quantitative study with a pre-experimental design (pre-test and post-test) was used, involving a sample of 16 teachers. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire and analyzed with the Wilcoxonsigned-rank test. Results: Following the intervention, 100% of the teachers achieved a "Good" knowledge. Knowledge regarding the actions for syncope increased to 93.8% and for seizures to 100.0%. The difference between the pre-testand post-test was statistically significant Z = -3.415; p = 0.001. Conclusions: The implementation of the educational program proved to be highly effective, enabling 100% of the teachers to intervene safely and promptly in school accidents. These findings reaffirm the importance of integrating these interventions, led by nursing professionals, into teacher development programs.
