Factores asociados al estrés en los padres de pacientes con fisura labio alveolo palatina (FLAP) atendidos en el Servicio de Estomatología de Pacientes Especiales del Centro Dental Docente de la Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia en el año 2024

Abstract

Introducción: El estrés en padres de niños con FLAP puede ser significativo y multifacético. Esto se debe a que el tratamiento multidisciplinario de estos pacientes puede extenderse durante varios años y requiere la máxima colaboración de los pacientes, los padres y los profesionales de la salud. Para manejar este estrés, es fundamental adoptar un enfoque integral que aborde tanto los aspectos médicos como los emocionales y sociales. Con el apoyo adecuado y los recursos disponibles, los padres pueden enfrentar los desafíos y brindar el mejor cuidado posible a sus hijos. Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados al estrés en los padres de pacientes con FLAP atendidos en el Servicio de Estomatología de Pacientes Especiales del Centro Dental Docente de la UPCH en el año 2024. Materiales y métodos: Es un estudio analítico, observacional, prospectivo y transversal. La población está conformada por los padres de los pacientes con FLAP atendidos en el Servicio de Estomatología de Pacientes Especiales del Centro Dental Docente de la UPCH que acuden en el año 2024. Al no haber muestra, se seleccionarán a los padres voluntarios. Conclusiones: Del presente trabajo académico, se puede concluir que respaldará la importancia de englobar dentro del tratamiento multidisciplinario que requieren los pacientes FLAP, a sus padres, y poder afrontar esta condición, lo que repercutirá en la mejora de la calidad de vida familiar y social.

This is because the multidisciplinary treatment of these patients can extend over several years and requires the maximum collaboration of patients, parents and health professionals. To manage this stress, it is essential to adopt a comprehensive approach that addresses both the medical and emotional and social aspects. With the right support and resources available, parents can meet the challenges and provide the best possible care for their children. Objective: To determine the factors associated with stress in the parents of patients with FLAP treated in the Special Patients Stomatology Service of the UPCH Teaching Dental Center in the year 2024. Materials and methods: It is an analytical, observational, prospective and cross-sectional study. . The population is made up of the parents of patients with FLAP treated in the Special Patients Stomatology Service of the UPCH Teaching Dental Center who come in 2024. Since there is no sample, volunteer parents will be selected. Conclusions: From this academic work, it can be concluded that it will support the importance of including, within the multidisciplinary treatment that FLAP patients require, their parents, and being able to face this condition, which will have an impact on the improvement of the quality of family and social life.
