Evidencia científica sobre los cuidados de enfermería frente a los efectos post-quimioterapia en pacientes pediátricos con leucemia linfoblástica aguda

Abstract

Introducción: el cáncer es una de las enfermedades muy frecuentes a nivel mundial, siendo la leucemia como la primera causa de mortalidad relacionada a cáncer en pacientes pediátricos, la Leucemia linfoblastica aguda es el tipo de leucemia de mayor prevalencia, tumores del sistema nervioso central (SNC) y linfomas. El 80% de las leucemias son de tipo linfoblásticas agudas (LLA), y 16% son leucemias agudas no linfocíticas. Objetivo: Describir la evidencia científica sobre los cuidados de enfermería frente a los efectos post-quimioterapia en pacientes pediátricos con leucemia linfoblastica aguda. Metodología: Este estudio corresponde a una investigación documental, en la que se realizó la revisión de diversas fuentes bibliográficas, que incluyeron estudio cuantitativo, cualitativo, descriptivo y analítico. La búsqueda bibliográfica de los artículos de investigación se realizó en las siguientes bases de datos: Ebsco, Sciencedirect, PubMed, Redalyc, Lilacs, Scielo, Index, Bvsalud. Resultado: Se incluyeron 30 artículos de investigación, donde el 30% se publicaron en 2019, 20% en 2020. Del total 32% pertenece al buscador PubMed, el 17% Bvsalud y Index. Mientras el 20% de estudios publicados en Brasil, 10% publicados en México y Irán. El 57% fueron publicados en Ingles, 30% en español. En total la mitad de estudios hallados tuvieron un enfoque cualitativo seguidas del descriptivo. Conclusión: Los cuidados clínicos sobre los efectos post-QT, por parte del profesional de enfermería se convierte en uno de los pilares fundamentales que garantiza el óptimo cuidado logrando una buena mejora en la salud de los pacientes pediátricos con LLA.

Introduction: cancer is one of the most frequent diseases worldwide, leukemia being the first cause of death related to cancer in pediatric patients, acute lymphoblastic leukemia is the most prevalent type of leukemia, tumors of the central nervous system (CNS) and lymphomas. 80% of leukemias are of the acute lymphoblastic type (ALL), and 16% are acute non-lymphocytic leukemias. Objective: To describe the scientific evidence on nursing care against post-chemotherapy effects in pediatric patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Methodology: This study corresponds to a documentary research, in which the review of various bibliographic sources was carried out, which included a quantitative, qualitative, descriptive and analytical study. The bibliographic search of the research articles was carried out in the following databases: Ebsco, Sciencedirect, PubMed, Redalyc, Lilacs, Scielo, Index, Bvsalud. Result: 30 research articles were included, where 30% were published in 2019, 20% in 2020. Of the total, 32% belong to the PubMed search engine, 17% to Bvsalud and Index. While 20% of studies published in Brazil, 10% published in Mexico and Iran. 57% were published in English, 30% in Spanish. In total, half of the studies found had a qualitative approach followed by a descriptive one. Conclusion: Clinical care on post-CT effects by the nursing professional becomes one of the fundamental pillars that guarantees optimal care, achieving a good improvement in the health of pediatric patients with ALL.
