Evidencia científica de los factores que condicionan la ansiedad en pacientes prequirúrgicos

Abstract

Objetivo: Describir la evidencia científica de los factores que condicionan la ansiedad en pacientes prequirúrgicos. Material y métodos: Se realizó una revisión sistemática, el estudio es de tipo descriptivo, los artículos fueron sometidos a selección crítica por el autor. El estudio contó con un total de 30 artículos científicos relacionados a la investigación. Después de haber analizado dichos artículos se obtienen las siguientes. Conclusiones: Según la literatura analizada, existe evidencia científica sobre los factores que condicionan la ansiedad en pacientes prequirúrgicos, pues se analizó numerosos artículos que demuestran su fácil aplicación y permite una mejor participación del equipo de enfermería. Los factores que condicionan la ansiedad en los pacientes prequirúrgicos fueron la edad avanzada, el sexo femenino, miedo a la anestesia, temor a las complicaciones postquirúrgicas, el dolor postoperatorio y carencia de información preoperatoria.

Objective: To describe the scientific evidence of the factors that condition anxiety in pre-surgical patients. Material and methods: A systematic review was carried out, the study is descriptive, the articles were subjected to critical selection by the author. The study had a total of 30 scientific articles related to the investigation. After having analyzed these articles, the following are obtained. Conclusions: According to the literature analyzed, there is scientific evidence on the factors that condition anxiety in pre-surgical patients, since numerous articles were analyzed that demonstrate its easy application and allow a better participation of the nursing team. The factors that condition anxiety in pre-surgical patients were advanced age, female gender, fear of anesthesia, fear of post-surgical complications, post-operative pain and lack of pre-operative information.
