Nivel de conocimiento sobre la prescripción de antibióticos en infecciones odontogénicas en los cirujanos dentistas colegiados de Lima, año 2024

Abstract

Introducción: Las infecciones derivadas de problemas dentales son muy comunes y necesitan ser identificadas y tratadas tanto por dentistas generales como por especialistas, dependiendo de su gravedad. Objetivo: El propósito de este estudio es conocer el nivel de conocimiento sobre la prescripción de antibióticos en infecciones odontogénicas en los cirujanos dentistas colegiados de Lima en el año 2024. Materiales y métodos: La población estará conformado por cirujanos dentistas colegiados de Lima metropolitana a los cuales se le aplicará un cuestionario de 25 preguntas el cual permitirán medir el nivel de conocimiento. Conclusiones: Los resultados permitirán conocer las capacidades del profesional odontólogo en el manejo de infecciones odontogénicas.

Introduction: Infections arising from dental problems are very common and need to be identified and treated by both general dentists and specialists, depending on their severity. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the level of knowledge about the prescription of antibiotics for odontogenic infections among registered dental surgeons in Lima in the year 2024. Materials and methods: The population will be made up of registered dental surgeons in metropolitan Lima to whom a 25-question questionnaire will be administered to measure the level of knowledge. Conclusions: The results will allow us to know the capabilities of the dental professional in the management of odontogenic infections.
