Evidencia sobre el impacto de la pandemia por COVID-19 en la salud mental del profesional de enfermería que trabaja en centro quirúrgico

Abstract

Objetivo: Analizar la evidencia científica sobre el impacto de la pandemia por COVID-19 en la salud mental del profesional de enfermería que trabaja en centro quirúrgico. Material y Métodos: Estudio de tipo documental, incluyó artículos de investigación de los buscadores PubMed, Biblioteca Virtual en Salud, Scopus, SciELO, Ebsco, ProQuest y Dialnet. Identificándose 30 estudios publicados entre enero 2020 a marzo 2023. Resultados: Se seleccionaron 30 investigaciones, que representan el 100%. De ellas 66.7% pertenecen al buscador PubMed y 56.7% fueron publicadas en el año 2021. Se reportaron como principales hallazgos: que 73.3% valoró el impacto de la pandemia por COVID-19 sobre la ansiedad, 70% sobre la depresión y 46.7% sobre estrés. Conclusiones: Se informó presencia de depresión, ansiedad y estrés principalmente entre las enfermeras/os de centro quirúrgico.

Objective: To analyze the scientific evidence on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of the nursing professional who works in a surgical center. Material and Methods: Documentary study, included research articles from the PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Scopus, SciELO, Ebsco, ProQuest and Dialnet search engines. Identifying 30 studies published between January 2020 to March 2023. Results: 30 investigations were selected, which represent 100%. Of these, 66.7% belong to the PubMed search engine and 56.7% were published in 2021. The main findings were reported: 73.3% assessed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on anxiety, 70% on depression, and 46.7% on stress. Conclusions: The presence of depression, anxiety and stress was reported mainly among the surgical center nurses.
