Estrés laboral y estrategias de afrontamiento del personal de enfermería del Servicio Emergencia COVID-19 de un hospital de EsSalud, Lima – 2023

Abstract

Antecedente: existe mayor evidencia acerca de que el personal de enfermería padeció angustia emocional durante una pandemia como la Covid-19, el trabajo asistencial en las emergencias era altamente estresante y el personal de enfermería no practicaba estrategias de afrontamiento adecuadas por lo cual es oportuno evidenciar la información disponible. Objetivo: determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de estrés laboral y las estrategias de afrontamiento del personal de enfermería del servicio Emergencia Covid-19 de un hospital de EsSalud de Lima. Material y método: El diseño de este estudio es cuantitativo, no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal. Se optará por una muestra no probabilística por conveniencia de 40 participantes entre personal enfermero técnico y licenciados en enfermería. Se aplicará dos cuestionarios validados; el primero, para medir el estrés, consta de 22 ítems; y el segundo, para medir el afrontamiento, consta de 28 ítems. Plan de análisis: Los datos se presentarán en tablas y gráficos estadísticos realizados mediante el programa informático SPSS 25.0 y se utilizará el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson para averiguar el grado de relación entre diferentes variables.

Background: there is greater evidence that nursing staff suffered emotional distress during a pandemic such as Covid-19, emergency care work was highly stressful and nursing staff did not practice adequate coping strategies, which is why it is timely to demonstrate the information available. Objective: determine the relationship that exists between the level of work stress and the coping strategies of the nursing staff of the Covid-19 Emergency service of an EsSalud hospital in Lima. Methods and Materials: The design of this study is quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional correlational. A non-probabilistic convenience sample of 40 participants will be chosen, consisting of technical nursing staff and nursing graduates. Two validated questionnaires will be applied; the first, to measure stress, consists of 22 items; and the second, to measure coping, consists of 28 items. Analysis plan: The data will be presented in statistical tables and graphs made using the SPSS 25.0 computer program and the Pearson correlation coefficient will be used to find out the degree of relationship between different variables.
