Nivel de inteligencia emocional y estrés laboral en el profesional de enfermería que labora en Centro Quirúrgico de un Hospital Nacional de Lima – 2025

Abstract

Introducción: El personal enfermero desempeña un papel fundamental dentro de su entorno laboral, ya que su labor implica una elevada carga emocional. Esta es una característica que permite brindar una atención integral, al mismo tiempo que mantienen la capacidad de gestionar sus propias emociones y el estrés inherente ala profesión, en beneficio del paciente. El dominio del control emocional, tanto personal como interpersonal, constituye un componente esencial del perfil profesional, siendo determinante para garantizar un desempeño óptimo y resultados favorables en el aspecto asistencial. Objetivo: Determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de inteligencia emocional y estrés laboral del profesional de enfermería que labora en Centro Quirúrgico de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2025. Material y Método: Estudio de diseño no experimental, enfoque cuantitativo y de tipo descriptivo. La población estará constituida por 48 profesionales de enfermería; debido al tamaño reducido de la muestra, se incluirá a la totalidad de los sujetos. Para la recolección de datos se emplearán dos instrumentos: el Trait Meta-Mood Scale-24 (TMMS-24), para medirla inteligencia emocional, y la Nursing Stress Scale (NSS), para evaluar el nivel de estrés laboral. El procesamiento y análisis de la información se realiza mediante el programa SPSS v. 28.El análisis de los datos contemplará estadística descriptiva e inferencial, utilizando la prueba chi cuadrado para conocer la relación. Los resultados se presentarán entablas para su interpretación y discusión.

Introduction: Nursing staff play a fundamental role in their work environment, as their work involves a high emotional burden. This characteristic allows them to provide comprehensive care while maintaining the ability to manage their own emotions and the stress inherent in the profession, for the benefit of the patient. Mastery of emotional control, both personal and interpersonal, is an essential component of the professional profile, crucial for ensuring optimal performance and favorable outcomes in patient care. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and work- related stress among nursing professionals working in the Surgical Center of a National Hospital in Lima, 2025. Materials and Methods: This is a non-experimental, quantitative, and descriptive study. The population will consist of 48 nursing professionals; due to the small sample size, all subjects will be included. Two instruments will be used for data collection: the Trait Meta-Mood Scale-24 (TMMS-24), to measure emotional intelligence, and the Nursing Stress Scale (NSS), to assess the level of work-related stress. Data processing and analysis will be performed using SPSS version 28. Data analysis will include descriptive and inferential statistics, using the chi-square test to determine relationships. The results will be presented in tables for interpretation and discussion.
