Experiencia en la implementación de la lista de verificación de cirugía segura en el contexto de la pandemia COVID-19

Abstract

Debido a la crisis sanitaria producida por la pandemia del SARS-COVID-19 desde (2020) ha puesto enormes retos en el ámbito del sistema sanitario. Situación que llevo a cabo en cancelar gran número de cirugías y reducir tratamientos quirúrgicos. Se plantea aplicar el checklist implementado para esta enfermedad incluyendo aspectos que permitan proteger la vida del paciente y evitar el contagio para el equipo quirúrgico. OBJETIVO: Evidenciar la experiencia en la implementación de la lista de verificación de cirugía segura en contexto de la pandemia covid-19. METODOLOGÍA: La presente monografía es de revisión bibliográfica, de tipo retrospectivo de los últimos 3 años (2019, 2020 y 2021); que sintetiza los resultados de varias fuentes bibliográficas analizadas e interpretadas que permiten ampliar el contexto sobre la situación. RESULTADOS: En la investigación se encontró 32 artículos en revistas científicas; tomando en consideración los criterios de inclusión y exclusión por cada fuente de búsqueda. Los artículos encontrados en relación a los objetivos entre los años 2019 hasta 2021, se obtuvo como resultado 14 del año 2020 (87.5%) y 2 del año 2021 (12.5%). CONCLUSIONES: La implementación de cirugía segura ha permitido que enfermería lidere la implementación de la lista de chequeo; así como el equipo tome conciencia de reforzar las practicas seguras a pesar de la situación; como es realizar procedimientos más seguros, complementar los protocolos para evitar los contagios, minimizar los casos, contar con un equipo de enfermería entrenado y calificado frente al covid-19 y seguir en la marcha en mantener el bienestar y la vida de los pacientes quirúrgicos.

Due to the health crisis produced by the SARS-COVID-19 pandemic since (2020) has put enormous challenges in the field of health system. This situation led to cancel a large number of surgeries and reduce surgical treatments. Thus, it is proposed to apply the checklist implemented for this disease including aspects that allow to protect the patient's life and avoid contagion for the surgical team. OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the experience in the implementation of the safe surgery checklist in the context of the covid-19 pandemic. METHODOLOGY: The present monograph is a literature review, retrospective type of the last 3 years (2019, 2020 and 2021); which synthesizes the results of several bibliographic sources analyzed and interpreted that allow to expand the context on the situation. RESULTS: In the research, 32 articles were found in scientific journals; taking into consideration the inclusion and exclusion criteria for each search source. The articles found in relation to the objectives between the years 2019 to 2021, we obtained as a result 14 from the year 2020 (87.5%) and 2 from the year 2021 (12.5%). CONCLUSIONS: The implementation of safe surgery has allowed nursing to lead the implementation of the checklist; as well as the team to become aware of reinforcing safe practices despite the situation; such as performing safer procedures, complementing protocols to avoid contagions, minimizing cases, having a trained and qualified nursing team in front of covid-19 and continuing on the march in maintaining the welfare and life of surgical patients.
