Cáncer ocupacional

Abstract

El cáncer ocupacional representa una creciente problemática a nivel mundial, responsable del 80% de las muertes de origen laboral, siendo el cáncer de piel, pulmón y vejiga los más frecuentes. Esta investigación se conformó por tres capítulos, donde, en el primero se detallaron las características, antecedentes, epidemiología del cáncer ocupacional; en el segundo capítulo abordó la lista de cáncer ocupacional; por último, en el tercer capítulo comprendió los fundamentos de la carcinogénesis. La finalidad de esta investigación es generar conocimiento científico y aportar evidencia sobre la relación entre la exposición laboral a agentes carcinogénicos y el desarrollo de diferentes tipos de cáncer en los trabajadores.

Occupational cancer represents a growing problem worldwide, responsible for 80% of work-related deaths, with skin, lung, and bladder cancer being the most frequent. This research is comprised of three chapters. The first details the characteristics, background, and epidemiology of occupational cancer; the second addresses the list of occupational cancers; and the third covers the fundamentals of carcinogenesis. The purpose of this research is to generate scientific knowledge and provide evidence on the relationship between occupational exposure to carcinogenic agents and the development of different types of cancer in workers.
