Cuidado humanizado y seguridad del paciente en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatal de un hospital nivel III 2026

Abstract

Antecedentes: El cuidado humanizado en el ámbito neonatal es fundamental para garantizar una atención integral que considere tanto las necesidades físicas como emocionales de los pacientes más vulnerables. En la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales (UCIN), donde los neonatos requieren cuidados intensivos y especializados, la seguridad del paciente se vuelve una prioridad para proteger su bienestar y favorecer su recuperación. Sin embargo, el manejo de estas variables no solo depende de la tecnología y los protocolos médicos, sino también de la actitud y empatía del personal de enfermería. Objetivo: Determinar si existe relación entre el cuidado humanizado y la seguridad del paciente en la UCIN de un hospital nivel III,2026. Materiales y Métodos: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, con diseño observacional, correlacional y de corte transversal. La muestra estará compuesta por42 profesionales de enfermería que laboran en la UCIN en los meses de junio a julio de 2026. Las variables en estudio serán cuidado humanizado y seguridad del paciente, cada una de ellas será evaluada mediante un cuestionario. En el análisis estadístico se utilizará el coeficiente de correlación de Pearson para determinar la relación entre las variables del estudio o el coeficiente de correlación de Spearman según la distribución de las variables.

Background: Humanized care in the neonatal setting is fundamental to ensuring comprehensive care that considers both the physical and emotional needs of the most vulnerable patients. In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where newborns require intensive and specialized care, patient safety becomes a priority to protect their well-being and promote their recovery. However, the management of these variables depends not only on technology and medical protocols but also on the attitude and empathy of the nursing staff. Objective: To determine if there is a relationship between humanized care and patient safety in the NICU of a level III hospital, 2026. Materials and Methods: A quantitative study with an observational, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample will consist of 42 nursing professionals working in the NICU during the months of June and July 2026. The variables under study will be humanized care and patient safety, each of which will be evaluated using a questionnaire. In the statistical analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient will be used to determine the relationship between the study variables, or Spearman's rank correlation coefficient depending on the distribution of the variables.
