Evidencias sobre la implementación de la lista de verificación segura

Abstract

El cuidado del enfermero(a) especialista en un centro quirúrgico respecto al cumplimiento de lista de verificación de cirugía segura es primordial en el periodo intraoperatorio porque su implementación contribuye a la disminución de eventos adversos al paciente quirúrgico en el periodo postoperatorio. Objetivo: Describir los hallazgos científicos sobre la implementación de la lista de verificación de cirugía segura: Metodología: Revisión bibliográfica, retrospectivo, descriptivo a través de una revisión documental de artículos científicos originales. Resultados: A través de la búsqueda bibliográfica se encontraron 22 artículos de revistas de enfermería según criterios de inclusión y exclusión, donde se evidencia que la mayoría de estudios referentes a la implementación de la Lista de verificación de cirugía segura, se cumple con el llenado de la misma en un rango de 80-89%, asimismo, se publican en Brasil (22.73%) y Estados Unidos (18.18%), en idioma inglés (45.45%) y en la base de datos PubMed (50.00%). Conclusión: Dentro de la evidencia científica encontrada sobre la implementación de la lista de verificación de cirugía segura como cuidado de enfermería se destacan que no se cumple el llenado en un 100%; por otro lado, es importante destacar que hay suficiente evidencia sobre el efecto de la implementación del LVCS en la disminución de eventos adversos postoperatorio al paciente y éste aumenta su eficacia si se cumplen las tres fases (entrada, pausa y salida).

The care of the specialist nurse in a surgical center regarding compliance with the safe surgery checklist is essential in the intraoperative period because its implementation contributes to the reduction of adverse events to the surgical patient in the postoperative period. Objective: To describe the scientific findings on the implementation of the safe surgery checklist: Methodology: Retrospective, descriptive bibliographic review through a documentary review of original scientific articles. Results: Through the bibliographic search, 22 articles from nursing journals were found according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, where it is evidenced that most of the studies referring to the implementation of the Safe Surgery Checklist are fulfilled by filling in the the same in a range of 80-89%, likewise, they are published in Brazil (22.73%) and the United States (18.18%), in English (45.45%) and in the PubMed database (50.00%). Conclusion: Within the scientific evidence found on the implementation of the safe surgery checklist as nursing care, it is highlighted that the filling is not fulfilled in 100%; On the other hand, it is important to highlight that there is sufficient evidence on the effect of the implementation of the LVCS in the reduction of postoperative adverse events to the patient and this increases its effectiveness if the three phases are fulfilled (entry, pause and exit).
