Intervención del Programa de Evaluación y Cuidado Individualizado del Desarrollo (NIDCAP) en recién nacidos prematuros en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales

Abstract

Introducción: El objetivo del NIDCAP es tener como resultado un pronóstico positivo de los RNPT que se encuentran en las UCIN, protegiendo el neurodesarrollo, brindando un entorno organizado, fomentando la participación de los padres. El profesional de enfermería es quien brinda los cuidados en las UCIN. Objetivos: Identificar la evidencia científica respecto a la intervención NIDCAP en recién nacidos prematuros en la Unidad de Cuidado Intensivo Neonatal, considerando los resultados y conclusiones de cada investigación en la efectividad en parámetros clínicos, la satisfacción y/o percepción del NIDCAP en padres y personal asistencial. Metodología: Es una revisión sistemática, bibliográfica, descriptiva, documental y retrospectiva. La población objetivo fueron recién nacidos prematuros (< 37 semanas de edad gestacional), la intervención dada a través del NIDCAP y comparada con el cuidado estándar brindado por el hospital. Tres bases de datos fueron consultadas: PubMed/MEDLINE, SCOPUS y Web of Science. Con la lista final de estudios seleccionados, se extrajo la información relevante para nuestro estudio. Conclusiones: Madres como personal asistencial de enfermería, percibieron el NIDCAP como una intervención valiosa e importante. El número de días hospitalizados y la incidencia de sepsis fue menor en el grupo NIDCAP. Además, estos tuvieron mayor puntaje en valoración motora, auditiva y visual.

Objectives: To identify the scientific evidence regarding the NIDCAP intervention in premature newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, considering the results and conclusions of each investigation on the effectiveness in clinical parameters, the satisfaction and/or perception of the NIDCAP in parents and staff. assistance. The target population was preterm infants (< 37 weeks gestational age), the intervention given through NIDCAP and compared with standard care provided by the hospital. Three databases were consulted: PubMed/MEDLINE, SCOPUS and Web of Science. With the final list of selected studies, the relevant information for our study was extracted. Conclusions: Mothers, as nursing care personnel, perceived the NIDCAP as a valuable and important intervention. The number of days hospitalized and the incidence of sepsis was lower in the NIDCAP group. In addition, these had higher scores in motor, auditory and visual assessment.
