dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general, conocer cuál es la relación entre felicidad y engagement en docentes de una Universidad privada, Chiclayo -2018. La muestra estuvo conformada por 159 docentes de cinco facultades (Ciencias empresariales, Derecho, Medicina, Humanidades, e Ingeniería). El tipo y diseño de investigación fue descriptivo correlacional. Se utilizó la Escala de la felicidad, creada por Alarcón (2006) y la Escala Utrecht de Engagement en el Trabajo de Salanova y Schaufeli (2003). Los resultados indican que existe correlación baja entre felicidad y engagament. También, un nivel alto de felicidad (72,96%) y un nivel medio de engagement (61%). Según dimensiones, se obtuvo una correlación baja entre las dimensiones de felicidad (sentido positivo de la vida, satisfacción con la vida, realización personal, y alegría de vivir) con dos dimensiones de engagement (vigor y dedicación); y muy baja con la dimensión absorción. Según facultad, existe relación moderada entre felicidad y engagement para las facultades de Empresariales, Derecho y Medicina. Una relación baja para la facultad de Ingeniería; y una relación muy baja para la facultad de Humanidades. Según tiempo de servicio, existe correlación moderada entre felicidad y engagement en docentes que tienen 1 a 5 laborando; una correlación muy baja en los docentes que tienen 6 a 10 años de servicio. Y los docentes, que trabajan entre 11 a 15 y 16 a 20 años presentan una correlación baja.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	The general objective of this research work was to know what is the correlation between happiness and engagement in teachers of a Private University, Chiclayo -2018. The sample had 159 teachers from five different faculties (Business Sciences, Law, Medicine, Humanities, and Engineering). The type and design of the research was descriptive correlational. The Happiness Scale, created by Alarcón (2006) and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale by Salanova and Schaufeli were used (2003). The results indicate that there is a low correlation between happiness and engagement. Also, a high level of happiness (72.96%) and a medium level rate of engagement (61%). According to dimensions, a low correlation was obtained between the dimensions ofhappiness (positive sense of life, satisfaction with life, personal fulfillment, and joy of living) with two dimensions of engagement (vigor and dedication); and very low correlation with the absorption dimension. According to each faculty, there is a moderate correlation between happiness and engagement in the Faculties of Business, Law and Medicine. A low correlation in the Faculty of Engineering; and a very low correlation in the faculty of Humanities. According to time of service, there is a moderate correlation between happiness and engagement in teachers who have 1 to 5 years of service; a very low correlation in teachers with 6 to 10 years of service. And a low correlation in teachers who work between 11 to 15 years and 16 to 20 years.	es_ES
