dc.description.abstract	Antecedentes: Existe superposición de síntomas del tracto urinario inferior (STUI) entre el detrusor hipoactivo (DU) y la obstrucción a la salida de la vejiga (BOO) y no existe criterios de la Sociedad Internacional de Continencia (ICS) que defina en forma precisa al DU siendo necesario utilizar el estudio urodinámico. Objetivo: Describir las características clínicas y las variables urodinámicas en hombres con DU y con BOO. Material y métodos: es una serie de casos de tipo restrospectivo, de corte transversal y exploratorio entre 2 grupos de pacientes masculinos con STUI. Grupo 1 pacientes sin BOO o inequívoco en el nomograma de la ICS, pero con diagnóstico de DU en el nomograma de Schäfer, Grupo 2 pacientes con BOO en el nomograma de la ICS. Se describen y se comparan las características clínicas y urodinámicas de ambos grupos; se aplicó un modelo de regresión logística para identificar que variables predicen en forma independiente al DU. Resultados: Se incluyó 95 pacientes 36 con DU en el Grupo 1 y 59 con BOO en el Grupo 2, ambos grupos no se diferenciaron en edad y frecuencia de síntomas (IPSS). Entre las características clínicas; la edad ≥ 56 años se relacionó con la ausencia de DU [OR: 0.03 (0.01 – 0.26); p = 0.001], mientras que la DM [OR: 4.84 (1.21 – 19.34); p = 0.025] y el DHIC [OR: 24.093 (6.66 – 87.10); p = 0.025] se relacionaron con la presencia de DU. Con relación a las variables urodinámicas, las variables que mejor identificaron la presencia de DU fueron; el WF ≤ 7 [OR: 23.10 (5.52 -96.67); p = 0.001] y el BCI ≤ 99 [OR: 6.93 (1.92 – 24.90); p = 0.003]. Conclusión: Se concluye que las variables urodinámicas WF ≤ 7 y BCI ≤ 99 fueron las que mejor describieron la presencia de DU.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Background: There is an overlap in the evaluation of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) when the detrusor underactive (DU) and the bladder outlet obstruction (BOO) and there are no International Continence Society (ICS) criteria that precisely define DU, being necessary to use the urodynamic study. Objective: Describe the clinical and urodynamics characteristics in men whit DU and whit BOO. Material and methods: It is a series of retrospective, cross-sectional and exploratory cases between 2 groups of male patients with LUTS. Group 1 patients without BOO or unequivocal in the ICS nomogram, but with a diagnosis of DU in the Schäfer nomogram. Group 2 patients with BOO in the ICS nomogram. The clinical and urodynamic characteristics of both groups are described and compared; A logistic regression model was applied to identify which variables independently predict DU. Results: 95 patients were included, 36 with DU in Group 1 and 59 with BOO in Group 2, both groups did not differ in age and frequency of symptoms (IPSS). Among the clinical characteristics; age ≥ 56 years was related to the absence of DU [OR: 0.03 (0.01 – 0.26); p = 0.001], while the DM [OR: 4.84 (1.21 – 19.34); p = 0.025] and the DHIC [OR: 24.093 (6.66 – 87.10); p = 0.025] were related to the presence of DU. In relation to the urodynamic variables, the variables that best identified the presence of DU were; the WF ≤ 7 [OR: 23.10 (5.52 -96.67); p = 0.001] and the BCI ≤ 99 [OR: 6.93 (1.92 – 24.90); p = 0.003] Conclusion: It is concluded that the urodynamic variables WF ≤ 7 and BCI ≤ 99 were the ones that best described the presence of DU.	es_ES
