El presente estudio es un análisis de base secundaria que tuvo como objetivo principal identificar la relación la adherencia al tratamiento, sintomatología depresiva y los factores sociodemográficos en pacientes con hipertensión arterial entre 60 a 90 años en la región de Puno. El diseño corresponde a un estudio cuantitativo correlacional y el método de muestreo fue el no probabilístico. El estudio incluyó a 105 participantes con diagnóstico confirmado de hipertensión que viven en la región de Puno entre hombres y mujeres. La muestra fue recolectada de 15 establecimientos de salud tanto del MINSA como de EsSalud. Los instrumentos empleados fueron la escala CESD-R, la Escala Hill Bone y una ficha sociodemográfica de elaboración propia. Los resultados evidenciaron una relación estadísticamente significativa entre la sintomatología depresiva, adherencia al tratamiento y los factores sociodemográficos como sexo, edad, lugar de residencia, personas con quien reside y situación laboral.This is a secondary basis analysis, and the main objective was to identify the relationship between adherence to treatment, depressive symptomatology, and sociodemographic factors in patients with arterial hypertension between 60 and 90 years of age in the Puno region. The design corresponds to a quantitative correlational study and the sampling method was non-probabilistic. The study included 105 participants with a confirmed diagnosis of hypertension living in the Puno region among men and women. The sample was collected from 15 health facilities of both MINSA and EsSalud. The instruments used were the CESD-R scale, the Hill Bone Scale and a self-made socio demographic form. The results showed a significant relationship between depressive symptomatology, adherence to treatment and sociodemographic factors such as sex, age, residence, people with whom they live and employment status.
