Antecedentes: La Organización Mundial de la Salud destaca la lactancia materna como el alimento primordial para el desarrollo óptimo de los infantes. Esta proporciona nutrientes esenciales y protección inmunológica durante los primeros 6 meses. No obstante, siguen surgiendo alternativas como la lactancia mixta y artificial. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los tipos de lactancia y el estado nutricional de lactantes de 0 a 6 meses de edad en un C.S. de Lima Norte. Material y método: Investigación descriptiva-correlacional y transversal. Participaron 80 madres de lactantes que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión en el servicio de CRED. El cuestionario “Tipos de lactancia”, previamente validado por Argote y Cordero, se aplicó a través de Google Forms. Para evaluar el estado nutricional se utilizaron las tablas antropométricas del INS según los Patrones de Crecimiento Infantil. La información recopilada fue analizada con el software STATA (versión 17.0), utilizando tablas de distribución de frecuencias y la prueba estadística Chi-cuadrado para identificar relación entre variables. Resultados: El 48,8% de madres proporcionó lactancia materna exclusiva, el 38,8% optó por lactancia mixta y el 12,5% por lactancia artificial. Respecto al estado nutricional, el 73,8% de lactantes tuvo un estado adecuado, el 22,5% presentó sobrepeso, el 3,8% manifestó desnutrición, mientras que el 80% tuvo una estatura acorde a su edad y el 15% reportó estatura baja. Conclusiones: Existe relación estadística significativa entre el tipo de lactancia y el estado nutricional delos lactantes de 0 a 6 meses de edad.Background: The World Health Organization highlights breastfeeding as the essential food for the optimal development of infants. This provides essential nutrients and immune protection for the first 6 months. However, alternatives such as mixed and artificial lactation continue to emerge. Objective: Determine the relationship between types of breastfeeding and the nutritional status of infants under 0 to 6 months of age in a C.S. from North Lima. Material and method: Descriptive- correlational and cross-sectional research. 80 mothers of infants who met the inclusion criteria in the CRED service participated. The "Types of breastfeeding" questionnaire, previously validated by Argote y Cordero, was applied through Google Forms. To assess the nutritional status, the anthropometric tables of the INS were used according to the Child Growth Patterns. The collected information was analyzed with the STATA software (version 17.0), using frequency distribution tables and the chi-square statistical test in order to identify relationships between variables. Results: 48.8% of mothers provided exclusive breastfeeding, 38.8% opted for mixed lactation and 12.5% for artificial lactation. Regarding nutritional status, 73.8% of the infants had an adequate state, 22.5% were overweight, 3.8% reported malnutrition, while 80% had a height according to their age and 15% reported short stature. Conclusions: There is a significant statistical relationship between the type of breastfeeding and the nutritional status of infants from 0 to 6 months of age.
