Este estudio tiene como propósito sistematizar las situaciones que se tuvieron al hacer uso de la metodología flipped learning en el proceso de enseñar y aprender el curso de Complemento Matemático para Ingenieros en un formato virtual en una institución universitaria privada de la capital del Perú, Lima. Para el desarrollo del estudio se contemplan categorías esenciales, como: la metodología del aprendizaje invertido (flipped learning), el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje del curso de Complemento Matemático para Ingenieros y la educación virtual; además, el estudio tiene enfoque cualitativo con el diseño de sistematización de experiencia. Los informantes claves del estudio son el coordinador nacional del curso, 6 docentes del curso y 6 estudiantes; quienes participaron a través de documentos de observación y guías de entrevistas semiestructuradas. Las principales conclusiones del estudio refieren que se promovió en los estudiantes el fortalecimiento y desarrollo de la capacidad del autoaprendizaje, así como el desarrollo de habilidades metacognitivas en la primera etapa del trabajo (el espacio individual); y, durante el trabajo en el espacio grupal se fomentó el desarrollo de habilidades comunicativas efectivas, el trabajo colaborativo y cooperativo, la resolución de problemas y el pensamiento creativo y crítico. En el caso de los docentes se mejoró la destreza del trabajo consensuado y en equipo; además, de la mejora en la producción y modificación de los materiales del curso de Complemento Matemático para Ingenieros. Por otro lado, se recomienda que se fortalezca el acompañamiento docente a los estudiantes, entre otras cosas, haciendo uso de la opción Mensajería del Curso de la plataforma Blackboard; y, se recomienda que se establezcan lineamientos claros y de conocimiento de los estudiantes para el trabajo en equipo dentro del espacio grupal de los momentos sincrónicos.The purpose of this study is to systematize the situations that occurred when using the flipped learning methodology in the process of teaching and learning the Mathematical Complement for Engineers course in a virtual format in a private university institution in the capital of Peru, Lima. For the development of the study, essential categories are considered, such as: the flipped learning methodology, the teaching and learning process of the Mathematical Complement for Engineers course and virtual education; In addition, the study has a qualitative approach with the design of systematization of experience. The key informants of the study are the national course coordinator, 6 course teachers and 6 students; who participated through observation documents and semi-structured interview guides. The main conclusions of the study indicate that the strengthening and development of self-learning capacity was promoted in students, as well as the development of metacognitive skills in the first stage of work (individual space); and, during work in the group space, the development of effective communication skills, collaborative and cooperative work, problem solving, and creative and critical thinking was encouraged. In the case of teachers, the skill of consensual and team work was improved; in addition, the improvement in the production and modification of the materials of the Mathematical Complement for Engineers course. On the other hand, it is recommended that teaching support for students be strengthened, among other things, by making use of the Course Messaging option of the Blackboard platform; and, it is recommended that clear guidelines and student knowledge be established for teamwork within the group space of synchronous moments.
