dc.description.abstract	Introducción: La participación femenina en la investigación es importante porque fortalece el empoderamiento de la mujer, al quebrantarse las barreras preexistentes y fortalecer su capacidad profesional en la investigación. Objetivo: Determinar el estado de la participación de la mujer en investigación odontológica desde el 2014 al 2024. Proceso de búsqueda de información: La revisión se realizó mediante estudios transversales que describen el estado de la participación de la mujer en investigación odontológica mediante los buscadores PubMed y Scielo. Se realizó una revisión de literatura, en PubMed mediante los términos MeSH y se obtuvieron 19 resultados que coinciden con el criterio de inclusión de revistas de los últimos diez años. Para la búsqueda en la plataforma Scielo se usaron los términos “Dental+Research+Female”, el cual arrojó 47 resultados los cuales fueron seleccionados por ser pertinentes al tema. Análisis de la evidencia: Se seleccionaron 6 artículos para el estudio, se encontraron 5 estudios de manera sistematizada (Estados Unidos, Brasil) y 1 de manera manual (Singapur). Sus años de publicación varían desde el 2017 hasta el 2023, cuyos objetivos eran determinar el estado de la participación de la mujer en investigación odontológica. Conclusión: Las mujeres lideraron el 28,40% de artículos científicos en temas odontológicos. Además, se identificó que hay una mujer por cada 4,80 autores hombres.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Introduction: Female participation in research is important because it strengthens the empowerment of women, by breaking down pre-existing barriers and strengthening their professional capacity in research. Objective: To determine the state of women's participation in dental research from 2014 to 2024. Information search process: The review was carried out through cross-sectional studies that describe the state of women's participation in dental research using PubMed search engines. and Scielo. A literature review was carried out in PubMed using MeSH terms and 19 results were obtained that coincide with the inclusion criteria of journals from the last ten years. For the search on the Scielo platform, the terms “Dental+Research+Female” were used, which yielded 47 results which were selected as being relevant to the topic. Analysis of the evidence: 6 articles were selected for the study, 5 studies were found systematically (United States, Brazil) and 1 manually (Singapore). Its publication years vary from 2017 to 2023, whose objectives were to determine the status of women's participation in dental research. Conclusion: Women led 28.40% of scientific articles on dental topics. In addition, it was identified that there is one woman for every 4.80 male authors; During the COVID-19 pandemic, a 3.10% increase in the proportion of male first authors was observed compared to previous periods. However, women demonstrated greater representation as first and last authors in peer-reviewed publications compared to articles in pre-publication status.	es_ES
