dc.description.abstract	Antecedentes: La salud oral se ve afectada principalmente por caries dental y gingivitis en niños menores de 12 años. Factores individuales y socioeconómicos como la pobreza y la accesibilidad a los servicios dentales aumentan la brecha de inequidad. Objetivo: Determinar la brecha de inequidad del cepillado dental en niños menores de 12 años de edad en el Perú, 2022. Materiales y métodos: Tipo transversal, se realizó un análisis de base de datos secundaria. La población de estudio está representada por la base de datos de la Encuesta Demográfica y de Salud Familiar (ENDES) 2022 del Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática (INEI) del Perú. Se tomó en cuenta un total de 26,437 registros de niños menores de 12 años a nivel nacional. La variable dependiente es cepillado dental mínimo dos veces al día. La variable independiente es el índice de riqueza y las co-variables son: región natural, área de residencia, lugar de residencia, tenencia de seguro de salud, altitud, sexo y edad. En el plan de análisis se realizaron análisis descriptivos y comparativos para identificar la relación entre las variables, así como el impacto de las co-variables en la frecuencia del cepillado dental. Resultados: Los resultados muestran que en el Modelo 4, cuando se incluyeron las covariables no se encontró asociación entre la categoría rica vs. muy pobre (p= 0.184) y muy rica vs. muy pobre (p=0.050). Conclusiones: No existe asociación entre el cepillado dental mínimo dos veces al día e índice de riqueza en los niños menores de 12 años en el Perú en el año 2022.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Background: Oral health is mainly affected by dental caries and gingivitis in children under 12 years of age. Individual and socioeconomic factors such as poverty and accessibility to dental services increase the inequity gap. Objective: To determine the tooth brushing inequity gap in children under 12 years of age in Peru, 2022. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional type, a secondary database analysis was performed. The study population is represented by the 2022 Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES) database of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) of Peru. A total of 26,437 records of children under 12 years of age were taken into account nationwide. The dependent variable is brushing teeth at least twice a day. The independent variable is the wealth index and the covariates are: Natural region, area of residence, place of residence, health insurance ownership, attitude, sex, and age. In the analysis plan, descriptive and comparative analyses were performed to identify the relationship between the variables, as well as the impact of the covariates on the frequency of tooth brushing. Results: The results show that in Model 4, when the covariates were included, no association was found between the rich vs. very poor category (p= 0.184) and very rich vs. very poor (p=0.050). Conclusions: There is no association between brushing teeth at least twice a day and wealth index in children under 12 years of age in Peru in 2022.	es_ES
