dc.description.abstract	En estos últimos años el uso de cigarrillos electrónicos o “vapes” ha experimentado un crecimiento considerablemente en su uso, sobre todo en la población joven a nivel mundial. La comercialización de estos dispositivos como una alternativa al tabaco convencional y su diversidad de sabores han generado un crecimiento exponencial en su consumo, especialmente entre adolescentes y adultos jóvenes. Sin embargo, aún existen debates sobre sus efectos en la salud por el uso de estos y su impacto en el desarrollo de adicciones. Pese a la creciente preocupación por el uso de estos nuevos dispositivos de inhalación, en algunos países como el nuestro no existen estudios exhaustivos sobre su uso en jóvenes que nos permitan comprender a profundidad los factores que impulsan esta tendencia por las probables consecuencias de su uso. En el siguiente estudio de descriptivo se tiene como objetivo evaluar los factores asociados a la magnitud del consumo de los cigarrillos electrónicos en adolescentes y adultos jóvenes, y las percepciones que tienen sobre estos dispositivos para evaluar la magnitud de su consumo. El diseño de investigación para este trabajo es un estudio descriptivo transversal cross-sectional en donde se realizará una encuesta a estudiantes universitarios del Consorcio de Universidades en Lima, Perú.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	In recent years, the use of electronic cigarettes or “vapes” has experienced considerable growth in its use, especially among the young population worldwide. The marketing of these devices as an alternative to conventional tobacco and their diversity of flavors have generated an exponential growth in their consumption, especially among adolescents and young adults. However, there are still debates about their effects on health due to their use and their impact on the development of addictions. Despite the growing concern about the use of these new inhalation devices, in some countries such as ours there are no exhaustive studies on their use in young people that allow us to understand in depth the factors that drive this trend due to the probable consequences of their use; In the following descriptive study we aim to evaluate the factors associated with the magnitude of consumption of electronic cigarettes in adolescents and young adults, and the perceptions they have about these devices to evaluate the magnitude of their consumption; The research design for this work is a cross-sectional study in which a survey will be conducted among university students from the Consortium of Universities in Lima, Peru.	es_ES
