Este trabajo de investigación se enfoca en el diseño e implementación de un sistema de entrenamiento, basado en Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), para la Escuela de Electrotecnia de SENATI, Arequipa. El estudio responde a una problemática central: la escasez de módulos físicos de automatización (PLCs, electroneumática),lo cual limita el aprendizaje práctico de los estudiantes, generando tiempos de espera y dificultando la consolidación de competencias técnicas debido a los altos costos del equipamiento. Para solucionar el problema se creó un entorno de aprendizaje híbrido donde un entorno de programación de PLC real -RS Logix 500 de Allen Bradley- se conecta e interactúa en tiempo real con un modelo virtual de un proceso industrial, simulado mediante software especializado (Fluid SIM, Movicon). Esto permite a cada estudiante practicar de manera simultánea, segura y autónoma, sin depender de la limitada disponibilidad de equipos físicos. La investigación se estructuró en torno a cuatro objetivos específicos clave: primeros e identificó dentro del curso, las tareas y aprendizajes a ser potenciados con esta tecnología; segundo, se propuso un diseño técnico que integra el software industrial RS Logix 500, Fluid SIM y Movicon; tercero, se comprobó la aplicación del sistema HIL para el entrenamiento en automatización y finalmente, se estableció una ruta para su institucionalización en SENATI. En definitiva, esta propuesta optimizará recursos, democratizará el acceso al aprendizaje práctico y preparará a los técnicos con herramientas modernas alineadas a las demandas de la Industria, mejorando significativamente su perfil profesional y empleabilidad.This research focuses on the design and implementation of a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)-based training system for the SENATI School of Electrical Engineering in Arequipa. The study addresses a central problem: the shortage of physical automation modules (PLCs, electro pneumatics), which limits students' access to practical learning, generates waiting times, and hinders the consolidation of technical skills due to high equipment costs. To solve this problem, a hybrid learning environment was created where a real PLC programming environment—Allen Bradley's RS Logix 500—connects and interacts in real time with a virtual model of an industrial process, simulated using specialized software (Fluid SIM, Movicon). This allows each student to practice simultaneously, safely, and autonomously, with out depending on the limited availability of physical equipment. The research was structured around four key specific objectives: first, the tasks and learning to be enhanced with this technology were identified with in the course; second, a technical design was proposed that integrates RS Logix 500, FluidSIM,and Movicon industrial software; third, the application of the HIL system for automation training was tested; and finally, a path was established for its institutionalization within SENATI. Ultimately, this proposal will optimize resources, democratize access to practical learning, and prepare technicians with modern tools aligned with industry demands, significantly improving their professional profile and employability.
