dc.description.abstract	Introducción: Las crisis febriles son la principal causa de convulsiones en la infancia. Su diagnóstico es variable pese a criterios establecidos, por lo que se requiere evaluar sus características clínicas en nuestro medio y su concordancia con estándares internacionales. Objetivo: Evaluación de las características clínicas de las crisis febriles en un hospital de nivel III de Lima, Perú. Materiales y métodos: Estudio observacional, transversal y analítico. Se incluirán niños entre 6 meses y 5 años, atendidos por crisis febriles. La información será registrada en una base de datos confidencial y procesada con un software estadístico. El análisis se realizará de acuerdo con el tipo de variable. Las variables cualitativas se describirán mediante frecuencias y porcentajes. Las variables cuantitativas se evaluarán según su distribución; aquellas con distribución normal con media y desviación estándar, y las de distribución no normal como mediana y rango intercuartílico. Para el análisis bivariado se utilizarán las pruebas de chi cuadrado para variables cualitativas, y t de Student o U de Mann–Whitney para variables cuantitativas, normales y no normales respectivamente.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	Introduction: Febrile seizures are the leading cause of convulsions in childhood. Despite established diagnostic criteria, their diagnosis remains variable; therefore, it is necessary to evaluate their clinical characteristics in our setting and their concordance with international standards. Objective: To evaluate the clinical characteristics of febrile seizures in a level III hospital in Lima, Peru. Materials and Methods: This is an observational, cross-sectional, and analytical study. Children between 6 months and 5 years of age who present with febrile seizures will be included. Information will be recorded in a confidential database and processed using statistical software. The analysis will be conducted according to the type of variable. Qualitative variables will be described using frequencies and percentages. Quantitative variables will be assessed according to their distribution; those with normal distribution will be expressed as mean and standard deviation, while non-normally distributed variables will be reported as median and interquartile range. For bivariate analysis, the chi-square test will be used for qualitative variables, and Student’s t-test or the Mann–Whitney U test will be applied for quantitative variables with normal and non-normal distributions, respectively.	es_ES
