dc.description.abstract | Norovirus is a frequent cause of acute gastroenteritis and is usually spread through the fecal-oral route. Most patients will recover with supportive care, but in immunocompromised patients, norovirus can be debilitating. Since norovirus has a low infective dose, a sturdy viral structure, and can spread easily within a ward or unit, infection control guidelines should be followed closely when a patient is admitted with norovirus. | en_US |
