Abstract:
Peru's population in 2015 was estimated to be approximately 31 million. 7% of which was older that 60 years; this is more that double that in 1960 when this age group represented only approximately 3% of the population. This change has resulted in a gretater demand for rheumatologic care. The Peruvian College of Physicians' register include 231 active rheumatologist; this number is insufficient to provide adequate care to all patients, especially if access to health care improves over time...
