dc.description.abstract	The Peruvian anchovy (Engraulis ringens) fishery has exhibited large fluctuations that are mainly associated with the high climatic variability that occurs in the Humboldt Current System and the occurrence of ENSO events. Likewise, the fishery management have had strong implications in these fluctuations. Currently, daily landings within each fishing season are used as an indicator for the management of this fishery. However, there is not studies about the variability and behavior of the landings during the different environmental and management scenarios present in the fishing seasons. The goal of this study was to analyze the interannual variability of landings in the fishing seasons of the North-central stock of anchovy. For this purpose, first, were calculated the coefficient of variation (CV) and the slope (b) (which indicates a trend in the behavior of landings) of the landings of 36 fishing seasons from 2000 to 2018. Moreover were identified factors that could be impacting this variability, these factors were related to environmental conditions (the size of the anchovy's habitat and the occurrence of ENSO events), fishery management (fishing quota and number of trips), the performance of the fleet (Effort and CPUE), and the economic value of the resource (Price of fishmeal). These variables were related to CV and slope (b) by combining two multivariate techniques (PCA and Hierarchical Cluster). The different groups obtained showed that in warm (El Niño) or cold (La Niña) conditions, as well as in a period of overcapitalization of the fleet, the variability of landings was low. On the contrary, in neutral environmental conditions, where fishing developed normally, the variability of landings was very high. For instance, the variables that mainly control the variability of the landings are associated with the management of the fishery (size of the fleet) and with environmental variability (occurrence of ENSO events).	en_US
dc.description.abstract	La pesquería de la anchoveta peruana (Engraulis ringens) ha presentado grandes fluctuaciones que se asocian principalmente a la alta variabilidad climática que ocurre en el Sistema de la Corriente de Humboldt y a la ocurrencia de eventos ENSO. Asimismo, las medidas de manejo han tenido fuertes implicancias en dichas fluctuaciones. En la actualidad, los desembarques diarios dentro de cada temporada de pesca son utilizados como indicador para el manejo de esta pesquería. Sin embargo, no se han realizado investigaciones sobre la variabilidad y comportamiento de los desembarques durante los distintos escenarios ambientales y de manejo presentes en las temporadas de pesca. El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la variabilidad interanual de los desembarques dentro las temporadas de pesca del stock Norte-centro de la anchoveta. Para este fin, en primer lugar, se calculó el coeficiente de variación (CV) y la pendiente (b) (que indica tendencia del comportamiento de los desembarques) de los desembarques de 36 temporadas de pesca desde el 2000 al 2018. Además, se identificaron factores que podrían estar impactando dicha variabilidad, los cuales se relacionaron con las condiciones ambientales (el tamaño de hábitat de la anchoveta y ocurrencia de eventos ENOS), manejo de la pesquería (Cuota de pesca y número de viajes), el desempeño de la flota (Esfuerzo y CPUE), y el valor económico del recurso (Precio de la haría de pescado). Dichas variables fueron relacionadas con el CV y la pendiente (b) mediante la combinación de dos técnicas multivariadas (ACP y Clúster Jerárquico). Los distintos grupos obtenidos mostraron que en condiciones cálidas (El Niño) o frías (La Niña), así como en un periodo de sobrecapitalización de la flota, la variabilidad de los desembarques fue baja. Por el contrario, en condiciones ambientales neutras, donde la pesca se desarrolló con normalidad, la variabilidad de los desembarques fue muy alta. En ese sentido las variables que controlan principalmente la variabilidad de los desembarques están asociadas al manejo de la pesquería (tamaño de la flota) y a la variabilidad ambiental (ocurrencia de eventos ENOS).	es_ES
