Funciones ejecutivas e intolerancia a la incertidumbre en una muestra de estudiantes universitarios de Lima - Metropolitana

Abstract

El estudio buscó conocer el vínculo entre las funciones ejecutivas y la intolerancia a la incertidumbre en estudiantes de Psicología en Lima-Metropolitana. Participaron 386 estudiantes de ambos sexos y mayores de edad. Fue descriptivo-correlacional y transversal, con diseño no experimental. Se utilizaron una ficha sociodemográfica, el formato de autorreporte de la Escala EFECO para evaluar funciones ejecutivas y la Escala de intolerancia a la incertidumbre (EII). Los hallazgos evidencian que existe una correlación alta y negativa entre las dos variables de investigación, siendo esta r=-.69. De igual manera, se hallaron correlaciones altas y negativas al analizar la muestra según sexo, grupo etario y tipo de institución educativa.

The study sought to determine the link between executive functions and intolerance to uncertainty in psychology students in Lima-Metropolitan Lima. A total of 386 students of both sexes and of legal age participated in the study. The study was descriptive-correlational and cross-sectional, with a non-experimental design. A sociodemographic form, the self-report format of the EFECO Scale to evaluate executive functions and the Intolerance to Uncertainty Scale (EII) were used. The findings show that there is a high and negative correlation between the two research variables, being this r=-.69. Similarly, high and negative correlations were found when analyzing the sample according to sex, age group and type of educational institution.
